He was reporting on how his career worked. But I’ll just point out that an anecdote does not a study make.

He used his knowledge to re-in-force his imagination!

No he didn’t claim imagination was more important than knowledge. He said you need both in appropriate measure.

Einstein credited the Theory of Relativity to his imagination. He read that a person in an enclosed object can not tell how fast he is going and that the speed of light is a constant and he wondered then if a person going the speed of light could figure that out by looking in to a mirror.

What’s important is knowing the difference and keeping them apart. Too much of what “we know” is really just imagined, especially about the past.

It helps to know that you have an imagination and not imagine that you are knowledgable…

Facts have no life, imagination imbues them with purpose, and thus they come to life.

As for John Lennon’s face…… I saw it as O J O. Guess I’m too old to think of more modern art.
