I did once take a college statistics course that was advertised as allowing you to do the work at your own pace. It met once per week in the evening where/when you could go and take any quizzes (in order) that you hadn’t already taken. They’d be graded on the spot and if you were happy with your score you could study, ask questions of the TAs or take another quiz. Or if unhappy (up to twice) you could take another version of that quiz. I was also signed up for a course that was known to suck serious homework hours toward the end of the term, so I wanted to get the stats course done ASAP. Imagine my surprise to discover that the prof hadn’t even written the midterm by the time I wanted to take it. Ditto the final. I did ask the department secretary to rewrite the course description to make that clear: The existing wording was a clear lie. So far as I know they never did change the wording. But I certainly told anyone who asked.
I’m not the HOA, I don’t care if people want to put up their Holiday decorations early. I know of at least three houses that left their skeletons up all year. And lots of people leave Christmas lights up, they just don’t turn them on.
I had a college professor who would not take a completed paper early. I was informed I would have to hang on to it and turn it in on the day it was due.

A compromise, he could continue to turn in his assignments from last Christmas.

Caulfield resists even the merest suggestion of conformity. Wonder how he ties his shoes?

Start turning in homework before it’s even assigned.

It’s hard to complete the homework before it’s assigned, which is how you’d have to achieve ‘Halloween decorations up 9/20’ levels of early.

LOL, “nice try,” Frazz. Cute.

But Fraz’s point, even if blatantly obvious, still registers in kid’s brain…

Frazz, you fool, you’ve got to skip the eye roll! It’s a dead giveaway!

Just a little memory test here. Anyone remember that last time any of these strips featured an actual background?
