These Capybaras seem to enjoy their holiday. Seems from the TV news: swimming in a water park, “crashing” a BBQ, they love too have fun. And they seem to enjoy their stay in the island: pool and veggie buffet and luxury accommodations (for an aquatic mammal that is) in a secluded island: Who could ask for more! All they need now is some Bossa-Nova by Astrud Gilberto and It will be the perfect stay!
My friend in Sao Paulo sent the clip of the pelican trying to eat a well grown capybara pup. It looked exactly like someone trying to pick up a soccer ball with chopsticks, and neither the pup nor its parents paid the slightest attention to the bird.

Sometimes the reality is more bewildering than the fantasy.

Are zoo animals given vacations? When? Probably not during the summer as there are too many visitors to entertain.

Isn’t everyone on vacation?

That must be the bluebird of happiness, the symbol of hope, joy, peace, and good fortune. No wonder they’re having such a great vacation!

I love these critters, and the artwork makes them feel like friends. My dog would make friends with them.

Looks like Bonnie and Cde have a pretty sweet deal where they are. It may be a tough sell trying to get them to the zoo.
