Why don’t they get the donuts instead

It would be even better if they actually bought some donuts.

I worked at a bakery as a delivery driver for years. This was a bread baker, not donuts. Still the best smell ever approaching work every day,

Better get them before Homer Simpson does!

Interesting hobby.

I use to do something like this when I went past certain Fast Food places.

[Homer Simpson voice] Mmm…Donuts!

Jon will probably drive all day around the donut shop, until his car runs out of gas.

And then fuel up on donuts.

Why only drive around? What about Drive-in?

Few things taste better than a glazed doughnut that is still warm.

Years ago, I lived just outside San Antonio. My route driving to work took me past a Mrs. Baird’s bakery and the Pace picante sauce plant, which were near each other. I drove a convertible and would put the top down on pleasant mornings. The aroma coming from each was unbelievable! And when the wind was just right, the aromas would blend and make a third, even more tantalizing smell. I wish I could have bottled it!

Diet week….

Guess Garfield and Jon got banned from that donut shop.

Happy mother’s Day to all you moms! I used to have an old car with a fold-down windshield, and after a spring rain, I would take a blind friend for a slow drive in the country (upwind of any fertilized fields). The fragrance of spring topped even donuts.

Sadly they arrived after Raplh Drabble and the aroma was all that was left.

I am surprised they haven’t “mauled” the donut shop already. lol

Typical Jon.. too dumb to turn around and park in front of the shop.

Anyone notice that that title card has been used before? Also, anyway, since today is Mother’s Day, why are Jon and Garfield sniffing the aroma of donuts instead of wishing their respective mothers a Happy Mother’s Day?

Decades ago, Montgomery Wards would make fresh chocolate iced donuts in the middle of store and the smell drew a huge line.

I remember getting up at 3:30AM on my day off to be right there as soon as my favorite donuts were being put in the pastry case. Hmmm…then there was a Krispy Kreme outlet…sheesh…no fair…maybe the corner mart has some imitation donuts?‽?

Love panel one. Grrrr, my newspaper does not have panel one because the toon is vertical today so sadly I cannot cut it out.

Smells aren’t fattening. Enjoy…..

Better yet, pick up six dozen donuts!!! One donut for Jon and 5 dozen plus eleven for Garfield…

I used to drive by a Wonder Bread factory on the way home. Even though the stuff was and is devoid of everything that makes bread good, it still smelled wonderful!

That’s like me walking past Cinnabon in the mall!

No, let’s go by the BBQ place next.

For those who love the smell of coffee, I would advise you stay away from commercial bulk coffee roasting plants. We used to live near a Maxwell House or Folgers bulk roasting plant. Luckily, the wind never carried the “aroma” to our house but the stench when driving past could be pretty horrible.

Enjoy the little things.

There is a little trick to get a free donuts from a shop. Wait till the end of the day when they close up and throw out the donuts. when they take out the trash it will be just donuts. :)

You know, I think Odie might have enjoyed this outing. Just sayin’.
