Things have become SO complicated. I have 5 remotes sitting on the coffee table and need them all. And many times, it’s a combination of 1, 2 and 3 remotes to get to where I want to be. Meanwhile, I miss the TV guide that told me what was on TV-or coming up. Now I waste time flipping all over the place on cable TV as well as streaming sites. And most times, there’s nothing good on.
My nephew asked me what time it was. I said it was a quarter past eight. He said, “So, 8:25?” He’s a Junior in HS with a GPA of 4.0. My brother just shook his head.
Grandma, you’re always after the kids to do their homework. Maybe it’s time YOU put some effort into studying the How To Operate The Remote manual. After all, remotes are not new technology – they’ve been around since the 80s and it’s no longer “cute” for an over-60 to be confused by them.

Sergeant Schultz always said something like that to Colonel Hogan.

If you really want to confuse them, show them a clock with Roman numerals.

I don’t think any of you are getting the message here. It’s more about working together than “these kids today”…

And when the receiver in the TV dies, you have to buy a new TV because the “manual” controls are routed through the receiver.

Todays TV’s only work with remotes, and they do need a graduate in higher education to figure out.
