Steamed broccoli, topped with cheese and bacon bits. If you are inventive with your food, you kids will eat anything.

You have to ask yourself when preparing food for the kids, will this make good ammunition.

I eat broccoli (by itself). I eat spinach (well-blended into a smoothie). But there is absolutely no promise of reward or threat of punishment that could ever have induced me to eat a bite of that casserole – then or even now.

So many people here say the cure is to add cheese and bacon. To which I say: why bother eating something super-healthy (like broccoli or spinach) if you’re going to load them with two of the most unhealthy foods in the world (according to credentialed cardiovascular surgeons?) It is comparable to seeing someone out jogging with a cigar in their mouth. Why even bother?

I put whatever I have together in one dish. Some are better than others, but all are edible.

That only tastes good to an adult. A kid’s taste buds would find the main ingredients too bitter.

Sorry, I’m an adult and I wouldn’t eat that.

Any recipe containing broccoli, Brussels sprouts or cauliflower CANNOT be described as delicious
