I believe my favorite books growing up were the Berenstein bears (by Stan & Jan Berenstein), Little Critter (Mercer Mayer), and Clifford the big, red dog (Norman Birdwell).

I loved Louisa May Alcott. I don’t know how many times I’ve had to replace Little Women… and I still re-read it and hope that Beth doesn’t die :( Silly, I know..

Heart is in middle school. She should be reading juvenile and curated adult fiction, not picture books. Mark T. needs to talk to some librarians.

Well, mom, Nancy was in grade 11 (?) so yes, Heat’s not there yet…but she’ll catch up, I’m sure.

When I was a kid, Nancy Drew was supposed to be a “girl’s book”, but I enjoyed them anyways. I thought them better than the Hardy Boys. But all time favorites? Bradbury and Asimov. Particularly Bradbury’s Martian Chronicles and Asimov’s robot stories.

Nancy Drew was kind of sappy but the adults were idiots.

I read an old book of “Tom Swift Jr.” called “Tom Swift and the Asteroid Pirates”. That book got me interested in Science.

I have to confess I’d never heard of “Pellucidar” by Burroughs so I had to Google it. I now have a copy ordered from Amazon. Never stop reading you guys!!!
