Probably not the only time that’s happened in real life.

Timing counts.

You’re supposed to stand back when she’s swinging.

On America’s Funniest Videos, the hit would have been farther down. Those clips should be in a segment called, “Unfunniest Videos.”

Next time try standing behind her.

When Gerald Ford – never a lucky figure on TV – was partnered in a celebrity golf tournament with Bob Hope. Naturally there was a huge crowd. Ford teed up and swung. Camera showed all eyes following the ball as it shot straight out then hooked sharply to the right. The faces in the crowd cringed when it hit a viewer. Hope said something like You can do that when you’re vice president. Poor Ford had stumbled again.

What a shot! She managed to hit the golf ball, too.

Four? It looks like one did it just fine.

…and she’s unaware too!
