SO, I cheated a little on that math test...Big deal! Today, its math test - Tomorrow, its a delayed football! Som, you need a wake-up call. Where are we going? To our local precinct. So you can see what a real jail cell looks like! Fingerprinting, mugshots, the constriction of cold handcuffs...the officers agreed to show you the works! After this experience, you will certainly be scared straight!
Before “Judge Hatchett” and some of those other “TV Judges” started “getting a kick out of” sending some wayward teen to a prison facility to hopefully let them know that jail is no place to be, there was the original “Scared Straight”. I remember when they had to show it on late night TV on Saturdays… and those inmates were not joking when they gave those kids a…“preview”…of prison life… along with a bit of “salty tongue” (i.e. they had to bleep some of the episodes). But I tell you what.. it seemed to work on us kids, back then!!!
