    If you live outside a major metropolitan area and there is any kind of local emergency, the chances today of finding a nearby radio station with information (or even a live staff) are slim to none.

    “WKGAY”……..Cho likely remembered the gone-but-not-forgotten WGAY, the much-mocked yet still feisty “elevator music” station in the greater Washington metropolitan area which includes College Park and Beltsville, where these yokels generally hang their hats. The station had a….certain aura hanging around it back in those halcyon days of the ’60’s and 70’s, that spurred a lot of the above-mentioned mockery. I think Cho not-so-mildly suggested, when he penned this, that, “well, if there INDEED exists a radio station where Barry Manilow would be played ’round the clock, might it be THIS one?”………..
