Girls should have remembered their purses. Not a hairbrush between them.-Hooray, Tiffany got some appreciation!

Well, Tiff and Delta and Bernice look Great…and, no, Rosa, Luann, Quill, and Gunther do Not…what a sorry sight…didn’t expect their prom night to turn out so sad… And, at least, we finally know that Bernice and Delta were Not in an accident… Sad… ;)

They used a cell phone to look up a bus schedule; how about calling someone for a ride, or to let them know what’s happening? It’s an amusing arc, but a little far-fetched…

At least the girls finishing the preparations for the dance look great—Tiffany, Delta, and Bernice (but, as someone noted, Bernice should lose the headband!). But as for that forlorn band of war-zone refugees huddled on a remote street corner, Luann looks shell-shocked, Quill and Gunther look hopeless, and the hungry girl looks close to cracking and possibly dangerous…. Help!

And some of you have the names mixed up… Knute is dating Crystal, not Delta.

…why don’t they just call a cab? if buses are moving, cabs would be too.

C’mon, guys— now is the time to act like monkeys! Start grooming each other by picking off sticktights (and any nits). It’s fun. You can even go someplace private & check for ticks!*Note B&D apparently are going solo— hurrah for them! They also apparently did not pig out on the meal they served as D is going for the dip.

Got it!!! B&D rescue them and cook a SECOND meal for the needy— needy friends (and “we all need a friend”).

Did anyone else think the slit on Tiff’s dress is a little too high?

“well, forget the dinner ..but I still think they’ll make the tail end of the dance.” ^I was thinking… if what some were saying about them being “Raggedy-Ann/Andy” like were going to apply, would they feel a little too self-conscious to go? Would they just decide to have an alternate means of fun? - Not unless they decide to still go, and it leads to some more “comedy hijinks”…yeah, maybe that’ll happen… we’ll just see what we see when we see it…

And for those of you who are calling for them to “reach out and touch someone”, don’t forget that the story could also possibly be written where their service goes out just at the time they try… or as someone mentioned, the battery dies… possibly …

I guess Gunther’s smartphone isn’t smart enough to call a cab, or Brad, or mumsy…

Well, at least we get to see Bern in that dress, again! :-)

I guess this may get resolved next week. I’ll check in with y’all on Wed. I have the 3rd and last of my credential exams (for a while anyway), this Tues…. So I will be in “study blackout” mode for a while.

Well, this has been a dim-witted week with them.

I imagine the point is that this prom experience will be the most memorable ever, and will get better with the retelling down the years, that is if they were real people and not actually drawings.

Or you can make it; “Tattered Tales”…

They have enough money with them to pay for a fancy dinner for 4, apparently. They could use it to pay for a cab, instead (since they are running too late to make use of their dinner reservations).

Note how Tiffany refers to “the rest of YOUR little gang” rather than “OUR little gang”. She’s already breaking off from the core cast. This trend will continue as the classmates go their own ways after graduation, leaving Luann free to meet a new supporting cast at Pitt CC this fall.

Don’t know if anyone has suggested it but…where is TJ? TJ to the rescue!

I think when Rosa says “I’m starving” she means “Gunther go out into that trackless jungle we just crossed, find the river with all those piranha’s we had to ford, kill them, build a fire and roast them, and get me something to EAT!”

Yes, shame on you Tiffany! 3 bows? Oh wait, none of the faculty at the dance consider your outfit inappropriate. Carry on!

I had a great time at the prom with no limo, a reused dress from my sister’s bridal party, a borrowed evening bag and a non-professional hairstyle. They were oversome.

Tiffany has probably spent all day in the gym (or wherever the dance is being held), working hard at putting up decorations that Bernice tells us look “amazing”. She has no date herself, because she has had to devote the last several weeks, and full time today, to making all the arrangements for the class rather than for herself. Yep, that’s being a snot, big time. Tiffany is always a snot. It’s cared on stone tablets, just outside Pitt HS : “TIFFANY FARREL IS A SNOT”, and that’s that.

Ohhh come on, they wouldn’t look THAT tattered after walking across a field, would they?

You can pay for a cab with a credit card in many cities.

I’m sorry to say Tiff looks bad in that dress. Little bows all over and even one in her hair! Bernice and Delta look awesome.

At last – something becomes clear! I couldn’t understand why the fab four were talking about “calling the restaurant” and stuff like they had dinner reservations for a particular time. They were in fact going out for dinner – and “prom” for their school means “a dance”.

While Tiffany goes in search of the shiny brass pole.One night, “dad” will happen to be at the club at the same time. Funding gets pulled and Tiff winds up a classmate with Luann at Community. See ! Not so hard to keep the crew together.

If I were Tiff in that circumstance, I’d probably be forgoing college and going straight to work to make money and survive. College would have to wait. My parents would get to “pull funding” on me only once! I’d never give them the chance to do it again.

I strongly believe in the “Billie Holliday” philosophy of inheritance/independence. Momma may have and Poppa may have… but God bless the child that’s got his own… :-)

That line made me think “Blood Sweat and Tears”.

Certainly one of the better covers… But Billie Holiday was the co-author of the song, along with Arthur Herzog, Jr.

… frankly, a hot number like Tiff would pull down some big bucks from old guys like us. Well, not us I wouldn’t pay to see some young thang peel off her skimpy garments…

Nothing like a 17-18 y/o daughter or niece to turn the “dirtiest” of old men into a raving prude! {racks air shot gun} :-)

Gunther must have used some really cheap thread on that jacket if the sleeve rips on a walk across a field.

I’m confused. Are they supposed to be going out to dinner before the prom? So they miss dinner and still have time to go home and change and go to the prom in alternate outfits.

This has gotten tooooooo sad. :(

Balloons and streamers are “amazing”? Yeah, right.
