Luann: "Mom, this is for all the times I threw a tantrum, disobeyed, argued, sulked, acted like a snot, embarrassed you, ignored you and annoyed you"
Mom: "Aw. Thank you, sweetie"
Sounds good! -Well, as I mentioned before, with the recent death in the family, and a couple of crazy adventures and a lot of errands yesterday, the Mrs. and I plan to have a nice, relaxing day of rest, " nerve regeneration" (read: ‘recuperation’) and enjoying each others’ company and hobbies (including me engaging in vinyl record hunting, which is my way of relaxing, LOL!).
Mom fantasizing that Luann saved up all year to buy out the gift shop. And that she could somehow check her bank balance online—but she forgot her password!
There is Luann’s puny reality, and there is Nancy’s estimation of Luann’s debt. Never the twain shall meet; but, hey, it’s the thought that counts! Happy Mother’s Day!
I see this differently. It seems that, to Nancy, this little bouquet is gigantic and of trmendous value because it is her daughter acknowledging how much she has done for Luanne. Oh, and I don’t think flowers are lazy – they’re traditional, but ain’t nothing wrong with a littlw tradition.
Moms (if you are lucky enough to have one alive today!) are irreplaceable. Cut them some slack today…they’re also human, but they’ll love you even if there are times you are being a snot, throwing tantrums. and everything else Luann said to her Mom…and, Luann, don’t forget all of those slammed doors!!!
A quick in-and-out! I have a cake to frost…white cake with chocolate frosting, yum! ;)

Hope everyone can enjoy a nice peaceful quiet day (it’d be nice if all days were nice, peaceful and quiet)!

Hmmmm. If that last panel is the standard, I am buying my mom her own greenhouse complete with a gardener.

Someday, she will act and talk like her mom.
