The women stil keeps her nose up like she’s snubbing the world. Does she look through it like a pariscope or is she afraid if she level’s it off she’ll develolpe a nosebleed?

I have to say…. in real life, it is a sad thing to sacrifice some things for your job (Especially where family is concerned!!). However, Lu’s “track record” has seemed (as her mother has stated) to be a bit on the “north side” of clingy. – So I guess this week could possibly answer the question of “how much time is enough time?”… and whether or not Quill or Luann are being reasonable (whether both, one or the other, or neither )….

The reason that Manezon has her head in that position, is to depict her as the “trope/stereotype” of a confident and theatrical person. Her head being up is part of a portrayal of speaking/walking/moving with a “dramatic flare” and a distinctive enunciation of her words and a confident, thespian-like image…. – We’d have to imagine her speaking, etc. with that sort of “Sunset Boulevard/Norma Desmond” sort of air about her…

Not only that—the neckline shifts around, too..

Yes, Quill, be sure to tell your boss not to give you too much work. That’s a great idea. Tell her everything! Tell her you need time for your girlfriend, who you have taken on as an assistant! I bet she’ll be very impressed.

In a peculiar way, I am really drawn in by Mrs. Manezon. She looks exactly like someone in the theater world I knew once upon a time! She is definitely a theatrical type. I am not sure that Quill is cut out for the theater, however. It’s just that he has leading-man looks….

Or it could have been from looking up at the large screen monitor that hangs down at the WalMart entrance. The weather report, in-store promo and the sale on knee-hi socks crawling across the screen must’ve really gotten her attention…..

Hahaha so funny that Quill wants to shirk his job in favor of spending time with his girlfriend. Ridiculous.

Mrs. Mazedon keeps her chin up to avoid the appearance of sagging jowls. I do the same when a camera appears.

Keeping your head back also makes the neck look smooth. Maybe her neck is too saggy looking when her head is in a normal position.

Ms. Manezon stands as she does due to so-called “stage poise”.Chin up-shoulders back-PROJECT!

She looks like she us suffering from whiplash. Where is her neck brace?

1) What happened to the hat & nose? Didn’t they want Ms. M to see they were already rehearsing?2) Quill keeps his shirt buttoned to the top— just like Gunther!

Botox. Fake people use Botox, and Ms. Manezon is about the fakest person in cartoon strips. I guess we will have to put up with her in place of Mr. Fogerty. He wasn’t as unreal, and he wasn’t as pathetic. Ms. Manezon beats him in both areas.

Haven’t heard from her in years. I still read Luann but rarely comment. I hang out mostly at Andy Capp.

I think Luann is created to be an immature character. Her getting involved in jobs that require her to work with children shows her being okay as a role model, but when it comes to boys and romance, she is very immature. I hope the teenage girls reading the strip realize that she is not someone to imitate.

She’s in Theater – what do you expect?

Luann needs to get busy focusing on her won life. Then she wouldn’t have these expectations of monopolize all of Quill’s time.

Well, what’s next for the kids? Can’t they find someplace where no one will interrupt them? If they tried to do anything at Quill’s, Ma Berger would just arrive home earlier than expected…

Worse than that. As we see today, Luann is measuring the quality of her relationship to Quill! by how much he is willing to goof around with her instead of doing his job.

Which might just prove to be the fuse that lights the “relationship ending” dynamite…. 8-O

Since both entities were born in 1947, there is a rumor going ’round that Iggy Pop and David Bowie are the same person.-Does that mean that the three people I know of who were born same day/same year as I was and I are the same person? Perhaps one soul can re-incarnate into several bodies simultaneously.
