Well, hopefully Dez’s friends will help Bernice find Dez.

Yup… that’s what was happening…. Bern “let her buttons get pushed”by Viper. If she didn’t know the people that decided (even though it stemmed from a misunderstanding) it was party time in her room (Dez not being there), and still “acquiesced” to “let loose” with people she again doesn’t know, then she was probably “under pressure” to seem cool, just like that time with Derek, of “De Grassy High”….

I can’t believe Bernice in the second panel. The implication from past strips is that people like Viper, Sun, and Piro have been hanging around her room all the time. (See the Sept. 12 strip.) She might not know them well, but she probably sees them often enough to invite them to Tiffany’s party.

All Bernice has to do is let “Hair” know where/when the party is supposed to happen, and everyone will be there.:::::: check! :::::::Now, unless you’re going to make Tiffany the subject of a psychological study for a class paper, get back to your room and start kicking Piro towards the door so you can get some studying done.

You would think that Tiff would be less at home trying to impress the alternative kids from the freshman dorm, and more at home pledging a sorority, and then usurping everyone in it, clawing her way to the top of the University Greek Social Ladder.

Or will they have nothing of it, either?

How long before Bernice tells all these folks to get lost? I mean, she always seemed level headed compared to her friends, but now that she’s on her own she lets people she doesn’t even KNOW push her around…

The 90s animated Batman had a villain character modeled after Bette Davis’ Jane character (and even for a Batman villainess, was considerably less creepy)…

Why is Tiff allowing her bra straps to show like that? Very tacky, and, thankfully, no longer fashionable. They should at least be black. Still tacky, but would look a lot better.

I don’t even think a Kardashian would “rise up” to the level of one of the “Hudson Sisters”.. maybe only Crawford and Davis could have pulled off such levels…

Bern’s job here should be to tell Tiff to go suck an egg and find her OWN friends to invite! Wise up Bernice! I have no use for people who allow their ego to run (ruin) their lives!

At many colleges, a suite is a set of rooms occupied by only one student.-To me, the most important issue here is Bernice’s total lack of backbone. She has long been described as the smart kid, and yet she seems to be allowing a group of total strangers to walk all over her and jeopardize her future. It’s understandable that she would want to get along with her (apparently never to be seen) roommate, so she’d try to be nice to the roommate’s friends. But babysitting an illegal pet and watching over questionable bags? And now, allowing a drunk guy to sleep in her room, for which she can be blamed?-Instead of debating with Tiff about how to invite people to a party, she needs to politely thank Tiff for letting her spend the night, and get out of there. Go directly to the RA, Bernice. Report that you need a new room because of ‘irreconcilable differences’ with your roommate, and that you need help in removing a friend waiting for that roommate. Then call Luann and ask for help in moving to your new room…

So much dislike of Tiffany Farrell on this page! She is in fact much better adjusted to college than Bernice at this point. People are walking all over Bernice and she is not resisting. She is instead displaying weakness and subservience. Tiffany is at times too self-centered (probably stemming from her lack of parental attention and affection, oft hinted at in the strip), but she is socially aware and kind at heart. Bernice needs Tiffany, not the other way around.

Why would Bernice want to invite a bunch of kids who take advantage of her to a party? she needs to go back to her dorm and see if Piro is stealing her things, or maybe moving his things into her dorm; because he’s decided to live there.

Could we please get those eyebrows off of Tiffany’s bangs? The fashions recently are great, but Tiffany’s hair needs updated.

This party thing is starting to get dragged out a little too long.I hate to be a critic because I don’t have the talent to write stories everyday, but three weeks for one party is a bit much.

I love the amount of people who still think Tiffany is mean/evil/a bully. Bernice won’t ask Pyro to leave, won’t get an RAs help, instead goes to Tiffany who without a beat let’s her in, makes her coffee (or whatever) but is still a mean evil bully.

Halloween party? Every day is Halloween for Viper. At least Sun has a head like Charlie Brown, so all she needs is a yellow t-shirt with a black, zig zag stripe on it.

All the creepy anti-Tiffany comments have ruined this board for me. I feel like many of you don’t like young women, have no sympathy for young people, can’t remember what it felt like to be young. And what you do remember of your young selves? That you were all better than any young people today could ever be. How come you’re writing such things? It’s boring and untrue.-Yesterday, I wrote about a friend with abusive parents; one of you basically said that even though my friend dropped out of college just so she could escape their influence, her parents had done a good job.-I don’t want to read “Luann” anymore, because I’m afraid I’ll be tempted to read the comments. Bye. I guess I’ll let the door hit me on the way out. (Said it before the bullies did, so at least I got that.)

Just what did Tiffany do in today’s strip that was so terrible? Is it even possible for Tiffany to appear in this strip at all without provoking a flood of “Tiffany is Satan!” posts?

Why Bernice only has her snarky backbone with Tiffany (who has never taken advantage of her, and has even helped on more than one occasion) and not the “friends of Dez” only Evans knows.

Bernice wasn’t such a wimp in high school. Did the college experience remove her backbone? Not someone I’d like to hang with.

I have to agree on this. Tiffany does have her issues, but if anyone is going to take the initiative and finally find out the truth about Dez, it’s Tiffany.…Go earn them Brownie Points, Tiff!

Tiffany has treated Bernice better than anyone else has in the last few months. She does a make-over for her, lets her spend the night, feeds her and doesn’t push her around like Dez’s friends do. I’d say Tiff is Bernice’s best friend lately.

As I explained briefly to Airman (see above) we ended up with a group of homeless Vietnam vets instead of the college freshmen. Some of these guys had serious head wounds that hadn’t been diagnosed (one guy kept explaining that he had ‘forgotten’ how to read). And others were probably suffering from post traumatic stress, which wasn’t recognized then. -We didn’t have the training to help these guys, and the VA was overwhelmed. When the vets started camping out around our office (it was in the Campus Christian Center), the kids who were coming to the Center for other programs were scared off. So the Center shut down, and that was the end of our program…

In that case. Tiffany has no brain cells.

Wrong. According to Tim Gunn Mentor on Project Runway, “There is no reason not to wear white after Labor Day”. This is NOT a show I would watch.

I can see your point. However, men including moi had the similar feelings when I was turned down by the pretty girls, I sang a lot of revenge songs during high school.

Personally, I like Tiffany. She’s not trashy, just flashy. A no strings attached, bit of arm candy to escort and put on display, and if you try anything, she’ll knee you in the crotch. She is a combination of Dolly Parton and a Barbie doll.

One of my uncles (now long gone) was in the Battle of the Bulge. He never told us what he went through, but for years he had to sleep alone. If my aunt so much as touched his shoulder, he woke up screaming and flailing around, hitting her inadvertently. -I’m sure that ‘battle fatigue’, PTSD and all of these are very similar, and will sadly always be with us as long as we have wars. -We now have people surviving wounds that they would not have survived, but whether they can survive what war does to us mentally is another thing. And I’m no expert on any of that…

I fail to understand the fascination some people have with the Kardashians… ;)

I’ve been outside planting Spring bulbs and doing other end-of-season stuff in the back yard. My pulled-muscle in my back kept killing me and I was so tired after digging in the dirt and pulling weeds, I could barely haul myself in bed at night! However, here I am again, mostly in one piece! Thanks for asking! ;)

I can sum up what’s wrong with people and celebrities and realiy shows in one letter- E!… – I sure do miss the old days when it was harder to know when there wereno 24 hr. channels showing “X Celebrity” caught going to the bathroom on camera….with a half hour exclusive, followed by the "breaking special report- “such and such a celebrity just took a bite of food”…
