This is what makes a good comic – good theater. The last three lines perfectly fit each character. Before he became a cartoonist, Trudeau (Doonsbury) directed plays. For Better or For Worse also had a good sense of theater. And of course, Peanuts…

Can I borrow that idea, too? I’d have to push those two cats out of my way though. Had snow on the ground this morning and it was mostly gone by noon. Then it started again tonight while we went to dinner with friends to celebrate a birthday. (Not Greg’s, sorry Greg, I didn’t know it was yours too at the time.) North of us, where I’m originally from, they had 6 inches over ice. Really bad for driving. Family posted pictures on fb. Made me glad I’d moved, even if not that far.

I love Luann, but it’s not often it makes me laugh out loud. Today’s strip did.

And a lot cheaper than the heating bills…..

Well I’ve SAID it Before and I’ll SAY it Again: If there was EVER a Good Reason to RAISE the Voting Age to about 35 or so, Then Knute-Ball is IT!

Yeah, that it is! No use in “wasting energy”!

Well, there are 7 billion people. While each off them is unique, there is probably some portion of 7 billion that thinks enough like Knute (even in real life, sadly…) to be significant.

I’m always surprised by the number of comments Luann gathers in the middle of the night.

Either:

(a) There are more Luann fans outside North America than I thought.

or (b) You crazy people spend your late nights (and early mornings) reading Luann. It’s not like I’m not guilty of this too but still… wow.

Yeah, that’s one of the best things about Knute…

I take it that it was a packed house, too! – LOL, the closest we ever got to seeing them perform was when they were featured on “CBS Sunday Morning” that featured them and also Billie Joe Armstrong’s foray into a bit of Broadway….

Although queer, Knute is one of the most likeable characters in the strip. Eccentricity looks good on him.

Well, we had our first dusting of snow for the season, last night. Just on the grassy areas and roofs, not on the roads, although it will be a tad slippery until later in the morning.

I am pleased to see that at least Lu is thinking about what she would have done to vote had she focused on it. She just had other priorities. Hopefully, as Quill suggests, it won’t be an issue next year. Of course, it will likely be an “off year,” electionwise (no major campaigns)… ah well.

That first panel is a microcosm of what we’ve become as a society in which too many people are ready and willing to chose sides, thus closing their minds to genuine thoughtful exchanges of ideas in favor of adopting prefab talking points as their own. And look at what that’s gotten us.

You Know, Really I used to Say That Very Thing when I was a Lad of 18, many Decades Ago. But Back THEN, There was a little something called the “Draft” and Guys HAD to Go. Now its “All Volunteer”.

I thought you wanted Crystal to look for a human male. The way people on this site describe Quill, he can’t be any less ‘humanoid’ than you believe Knute to be. In fact, since Knute has genuinely unique ideas, he is more human than Quill….

Which is why I oppose “get out the vote” campaigns.

It’s very interesting that all those posters who were all over Luann yesterday for being ‘self-absorbed’ instead of ‘a mature citizen’ have said nothing critical about Knute explaining that he just read blogs written by people he agrees with. Double standard much?

I don’t think Crystal is entirely correct in her assessment of how voters think, but that’s okay, because she’s the hottie of the comic strip. Have Knute and Crystal ever showed some romance in their relationship?.

I still enjoy it and Ron Howard and I were both born in the same year.

Knute is dumb like a fox. Since I’ve been reading this comic, I’ve always thought that Knute was Mr. Evan’s idea of a ‘slacker’ kid, one who did as little as possible to get by. This has more to do with lack of interest in getting ahead than it does lack of brain power…

Does anyone else see Crystal’s comment as simply “allaying” Miss Whitebread Luann’s “fears” about people different from her?Oooooooo! That’s right!Lu hasn’t actually MET the Friends of Dez, has she?

Very humorous today, thanks to Crystal’s wry wit and Luann’s pointed question, all at the expense of Knute (who can afford it)….

I just read some of the blogs from yesterday. I was 17 when I registered to vote. I turned 18 just before the primary but not before the last day to register to vote in the primary. I wasn’t certain of the rules, so I went up to the voter registration table on campus and asked. Twenty years later I advised my son to go ahead and register. He voted for the first time three days after his 18th birthday.

“Being able to be 10 years younger at night.” ^(Lol, I didn’t even catch that!!!) Maybe it’s possible, once everybody (including the bill collectors) “retires for the night” and you can finally get some “peace and quiet”, thereby allowing you to get two tenths percent of your sanity back…

So Knute is really dumb and wants to be a janitor. Is that what I read? Breakfast Club fodder?

Knute will always be happy unless Crystal ends their relationship, but Crystal won’t because she’s totally into him, even though she won’t quite admit it. They will always be a team.

BTW, where’s Bernice?

Suppose Knute the “janitor” opens a small janitorial business? He could be making a lot more money than his friends… ;)
