It’s almost ironic that “Panda Tea” is so expensive, given it’s source. But they say it’s healthy- given the Bamboo diet and “relatively clean” living of Pandas… – Bill Gates was also reported to have invested in a system that is supposed to be able to extract water, the “Omniprocessor”, that is said to be able to extract water from poop better than current treatment systems can….(See here or go to: http://www.businessinsider.com/bill-gates-jimmy-fallon-poop-water-2015-1)

Also, Sheriff, are you going to decide on a hair color for Dez?========If you did you back story homework, you’d know that last year’s occupant of this room was a theater major who experimented with set design, particularly lighting. Her name was Phlegminia. She installed several ceiling mounted dynamic hue LED strips with that use the random buzz-tron day loop feedback circuit to get the special effects you see here. It’s that simple.

This “leap” from high school hasn’t really gotten off the ground yet. The very long Gunther and Rosa tale was a disappointment and missed numerous opportunities to zing, but never did. Now, we have Bernice in college with a bunch of weird characters. Not much to cheer about there, either. It’s like someone put speed limit signs at the Indianapolis 500 Race track. Take your foot off the brakes, Greg, cut loose.

Surely Bernice will stand up to Dez and refuse to drink the crappy tea.

Dez follows her Destiny/Moira (shouldn’t supposedly brainy Bernice know that?), to Moony Uni, then to the side of her dying grandfather until his death (quite proper pietas), and now to the dorm and her new roommate, to whom she offers her expensive if exotic tea. What’s not to like? So far, at least, Dez is a great addition to the roster of characters!

Pour some Head and Shoulders on her. It makes flakes go away.

Howy and RB2… I tend to view this as Dez was gone pretty much the whole semester because of her grandfather. She did drop in once or twice (apparently later in the day, or when Bernice happened to be out) probably to grab something of hers. While she was there, she may have ended up briefly talking with Piro, and/or her other friends…. Viper and Sun, but since she did not have a lot of time to wait around, she didn’t wait around to see or meet Bernice.

Speaking of Wikipedia, who wants to add Des to the list of characters?

This story line leads me to believe that Greg or Karen did a Google on a Ripley’s Believe It or Not factoid and ended up in an endless loop of obliquely related items the results of which became touchstones in Dez’ character, and that we are about to experience that result.

I think Dez came back once or twice during the time she was with her grandfather, to BRIEFLY stop and get something of hers that was important and necessary but she had left in her dorm. This suggests to me that she had to probably leave to be by her grandfather’s bedside rather quickly. To me, this makes logical sense to the story arc.

I agree with all who said Moira is Dez’s spirit guide.

lots of folks think Dez is an older student but that’s not necessarily the case. Being dark complected, heavier and wearing a skirt doesn’t have to imply that. After all she has a living grandfather so she can’t be that old. Moony is a big public university and students come in all sizes, shapes and ethnic backgrounds. Older students generally don’t live in the dorms unless they are international students. She might be in her 20’s though or maybe a graduate student. I see that Bernice is still in her ‘guidance counselor’ frame of mind (such an old style term.. ) from working in Miss Phelps’ office at Pitts. .Maybe there will be some interesting learning opportunity here for Bernice as she wants to study psychology.

taking that Bern is 18, and looks like Sun and Viper are at least sophs, I would say they are 19 or 20 most probably, I think Dez is also soph at least(maybe Junior) and since Moira guided her to the university, maybe slightly older, so, Dez is anywhere between 19 and 25, but definitely not in her 30s or much less in her 40s

in the original story he had more than pooh, he had a pig, a Donkey, the kangarooos and a a tiger, with Rabbitt and owl inspired by A A Milne from live animals, 5 of the 6 stuffed toys can be seen in a library, but Roo was lost, most saying most probably in one of the branches of a tree

I said Tiger (not tigger) because from what i remembered some people mentioned that in the original story it was mentioned Chris had a tiger but was never “characterized”, interestingly the"word" Heffalump was introduced in the first 2 books and “imagined”(in the frame of the book itself) looking like an elephant, but was never put as an actual character of the woods until the TV series in late 80s and early 90s

meant the “stuffed tiger”, not as a character, just like Winnie in the 1st chapter(not the intro) was put as having the “real name” of Edward the bear but was called Winnie-ther-Pooh by Christopher ………. and in book 2 the character of tigger was introduced BASED on the tiger toy……… I have not found the whole PDF of the book yet to be able to see if what people posted years ago was true or not(that the tiger was mentioned just like “Edward the bear” was mentioned in the first book)
