As much as others had hoped for an arc about the wedding, I’m hoping this one ends soon. I like Toni and Brad, but this is just silly. All they really need to do is pick a place they both like (if they can’t use the firehouse, maybe a park they like, or a restaurant where they enjoyed a meal), and go from there. No need to send in all these clowns…

These are getting more stupid every day. Any bets on the final option? Perhaps something just as cheesy as those we’ve seen so far like a firefighter-related theme? I’m betting on something very simple, which they both likely wanted in the first place, but somehow aren’t close enough to discuss so they go through this rigmarole. This “couple” has always been crappy and unbelievable. I still remember the strip where Toni confessed her love and all I could think was “Why? Based on what?” This is more of a 14 year old’s notion of love than adults.

“Just because Evans thinks it’s a joke and shows that through his characters doesn’t mean it is. Everyone should have their wedding the way they want to, not the way society deems they should.”

Ever since Horace and Juvenal in ancient Rome, satire has existed to hold the ridiculous up to public view. Some exaggeration is part of the game. I’m all for it.

“It’s up to brad/Toni to sit downand talk about what they want. What they’re doing right now is immature and lazy.” Hardly lazy. But you are right that they need to have some give and take between them, which they have not shown. and that is a bad predictor of success in marriage.

This is just a comic strip. Thing is, it does unfortunately hits home with many folks.Used to be that the only thing the groom had to do after proposing. Was pick out his groomsmen, including the best man. Be fitted for his tux.choose the honeymoon site.show up for the wedding. It also used to be that the PARENTS of the bride did all the main work for the wedding. As in getting the venue. Seeing about the caterers(if it wasn’t potluck)arranging for the couple to see the clergypaying for pretty much everything. Moms used to chose or sewn the wedding dress for the bride. As well as the dress for the MoH and bridesmaids.Bride only had to get the dress fitted.Show up for the wedding.

If Brad truly wants a big-ish wedding versus Toni’s desire for a small one, he sure did a lousy job putting together this wedding shopping excursion – which is more likely to end up in City Hall than a venue that seats 200! I agree that wedding is most likely to be in a firehouse or Frank or Nancy’s back yard, or even TJ’s new event space. I just hope it happens soon! Enough of this silliness!

That’s actually possible. There’s an Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California that says it would work with people, within reason (probably no ceremony on race days), and would even allow a ceremony right on the track.-Here in Florida, Daytona International Speedway has a number of spaces where folks can have receptions, wedding rehearsal dinners and the actual ceremony. They expect you to bring your own person to perform the ceremony, though, and take care of all the paperwork to get the marriage license.-In both cases, the caterer who works for the speedway is the only one allowed to provide the food, though, so if they want TJ, looks like those venues are out…

Maybe they should have a seaside theme? Their wedding clothes certainly wouldn’t break the bank! All the decorations would be natural, especially the flowers. And the honeymoon? Hop over to the second island from the first and settle in while all of your guests fly back home! Ahhhh…gardenias, palms, leis, secluded pools, mountains, clean clear pale blue ocean water, beaches that sparkle …you get the idea! Maybe both of you can join first responders there and move to this tropical paradise! (Well, it Sounds good, anyway!)… Is this Truly ORMouseworks??? Yep!!! I’m baacccckkkk!!! I hope to be on “Luann” more often than not! (For anyone who cares?! I Did miss y’all, however!).-————————————————————————-“What God hath joined together no man ever shall put asunder: God will take care of that.”
