Oh My !!! Today’s art is so basic, it looks like it was meant for a coloring book. Color Shannon gone, out, kaput, or maybe yellow, the color of puke. Toni’s baggage should give Brad all the reason he needs to get out of town.

Why would Bernice sit right behind Luann? If she were sitting next to her, Luann would have seen her and noticed her sitting down.

Nobody is commenting why Luann is sitting Shannon, who usually is in the care of Brad (Bwad) and Toni. Does this presage a Bwad and Toni ar?. Now that the old warehouse is being renovated, presumably, could the wedding be coming sometime this year maybe!!!???

I’d wager the “drama” might involve someone having a heart attack, and Brad and/or Toni having to use their EMT training to save the person!

I was thinking more along the lines of Jonah (Toni’s brother and Shannon’s father) running some interference in re: Shannon, with the wedding and/or adoption. Or TJ screwing up the reception, or Lu getting upset that she’s not more involved somehow, I dunno… If there is an EMS call, I’m not thinking it will be anyone at the wedding, but there might be “general alarm” that has all personnel having to respond, thereby delaying the wedding. The only person old enough to have any medical issues would be Frank, unless you count “Ms. Horner.”

Makes me think of stringing some more words together with yours:

“A City Kitty, Wry And Witty… What A Pity- She’s Sitting Gritty” – A few more words to complete the line, and we’d have a parody verse for "Summer In The City, by the Lovin’ Spoonful!

Or if they return the favor to other comic artists’ tributes over the years, they could be having a “comic” sort of emergency, with a “visiting character” from another strip….
