Quill has been totally oblivious to Luann’s discomfort when Pru’s name comes up. Makes me think Pru is totally not a threat for some reason – some reason Luann’s not yet aware of. Other that or Quilly is just oblivious. ;)

So Frank wanted to charge the woman who won’t charge him for her play. Classy.

Can’t wait to meet Pru. So far, the strip is not indicating that Quill is enamored of her….just that she is a theatre friend. Let’s see what happens.

Even if she didn’t charge him, she’s doing him a big favor. So it makes no sense for him to charge her for the room. Why must he be made so impossible to root for all the time?

Yes, Frank, Prudence Nolastname is giving you her show and her directing “talent”! For free! Which is exactly what they’re worth. Tell Mr. Gray to cancel that Barbra Streisand concert he had lined up for the Fuse’s opening – you’ve got yourself a real box office winner now!!!

Dad, she’s giving you her show and her directing talent. And you are going to charge her RENT? Plus p.o. your daughter? Sounds like more than you or Pru can afford.

Well, you know what they say about older women/younger men.

I’m still hoping to see Luann offered an interesting, exciting seasonal job in New York City, accompanying the kids from the afterschool program to some kind of artistic event. That way, she gets to see New York after all, and doesn’t have to watch her parents and Quill fall all over themselves in their eagerness to welcome the great Prudence.

Maybe Luann can earn enough at that job to afford an apartment near Pitts Community College. That way, Mom and Dad can earn even more money by renting out both her old room and Brad’s.

And instead of spending spring break in New York watching Quill and Prudence, she can spend her spring break with a new best friend she meets in her new apartment complex. Someone who doesn’t snark at her when she worries about whether a guy cares about her or not, and maybe someone who can introduce her to a guy who pays attention to her enough to notice when she’s worried.

Life moves on. Never stay where you aren’t valued.

Pru is no threat to Luann, at least not at this time.

What Luann talks about with Quill is “Luann”. I doubt that she has asked him to show her any photos he took during his internship in NYC, which is why she apparently has to imagine what Pru looks like.

Watch Prudence will turn out to be 50.

Mr. Gray is still a mystery, now we have Prudence. My guesses are always wrong (kind of like my football pools), but being a theater person, Pru must be a little weird.

This room issue is one I mentioned yesterday.Nancy can perceive Luann’s concern. Quill is totally oblivious..Either he is stupid (has half the IQ of Nancy).OR .Pru is so far from a romantic consideration that he cannot imagine the Luann might be concerned..OK . . . .that latter would make him stupid for not having described Pru long ago, and ending any such worries..I guess he flunks either way.

Pru is the new Dez. .Tune in next year..By the way, Prudence must be a girl. Quill calls her one.,And he was paired with her for some of the group activities in NY. .So it seems that she was also an intern in the program there. But it does appear she now resides in NY and is perhaps more into writing/producing than acting. .But who knows? Quill is too dumb to just tell Luann..We are not likely to find out soon. Consider the dragging out of the Dez “mystery.” .But Christmas may set the timing for this revelation . . . .. . . provided it’s not scheduled for Christmas “2016.” (Like the wedding date that will mark 32-year-old Brad’s 15 years of dedication to becoming a Fireman.)

If Pru stayed at their house they could keep an eye on her. Quill or Mr. Gray or anyone else wouldn’t be able to visit her as easily without being noticed.

So why hasn’t Quill shown Luann any photos that he took in NYC (including Pru), or at least told her more about Pru than just her name? If the internship was such a wonderful experience, why haven’t they spend more time talking about it? These people don’t communicate with each other and seem not to have much in common. Surely that should have been clear to at least one of them long before now. Why are they still dating?

For all of you that think Frank has put their life savings in harm’s way remember their major investment was in a piece of southern California real estate. Having brought the building up to code and somehow managed to get it rezoned to commercial use they could probably make a nice profit on resale.

The look on Luann’s face… priceless. The look on Quill’s face… clueless!

Mr. Gray buying out both TJ and the DeGroots…. that would be an EXCELLENT idea!!! I like that one, Dave! Then, if Mr. Gray stays as a character, he could continue to drift into and explore the seedier, darker, crime-noir, ganster sort of plot. Removed from TJ and the DeGroots, it might be a pretty fun and interesting arc.

Ah, good old Luann verse. Charge rent for the person who’s not getting paid to put on and direct a play. Have to have a talk over it because their super special snowflake daughter may get upset and her feelings are far more important than a successful business.

It’s true. Quill seems only attracted to Pru’s theatre and drama skills. It is the only context in which he discusses her… ideas, talent etc. She can’t be fifty because Quill sent Luann a text message from NY referring to a ‘girl’ that he was paired up with. But she might be gay (as another poster suggested) and full of facial piercings or something like that, or married…. drop dead gorgeous or really plain looking. One of two things will happen, either she fuels the fire, putting another nail in the Quill /Luann coffin or she’s no threat at all for whatever reason. how many days or weeks do we have to wait?

Poor Frank, terrible case of foot-in-the-mouthosis. Worst I’ve ever seen.

then she doesn’t have a day job or anything else to do. If she is a student then she would miss class for the rest of the semester… so we cross that off the list too?

Luann’s face suggests that she is processing everything of the past few days……totally bewildered… first Quill says they can’t go to New York because of the need to produce an opening show for the Fuse and how much work that would be. So Luann agrees. Then seemingly moments later, suddenly his friend Prudence (from New York) will produce the whole show. Is this all just circumstance?

for some reason, even though i am glad frank isn’t my stepfather; his looks do remind me of my stepfather and i just felt a lot of disgust at the resemblance. i don’t like my stepfather as he’s just a toxic man, that’s why i am disgusted.
