And a rather humble Tiffany at that.

Guess We’ll find out for sure “who” Tiff’s new roomie will be, because somehow, I don’t think it’s gonna be Stef.

But the big news is looks like Ann was telling the truth about Poppa Tom’s “money problems.” Or she damaged more than We thought.

Of course if things were that bad, you’d think Tom would downsize to a smaller house, cut out the Maui vacations, and insist that Tiff continue to commute rather than live on campus.

Something doesn’t add up.

Ha! The plot thicken! did Stef choose Tiffany?

All four of them, and also Kip, can each have a private room at the McMansion, and Tom can pocket the rent.

So, taking bets on who the 4th roomie will be. (Not literal illegal bets. Fantasy bets in whatever kind of imaginary objects you want to picture.) Who’ll it be and what are you betting?

I wonder if the breakup between Tom and Ann Eiffel was just for show. I mean tom is filthy rich, how can he not afford a private room? I know college dorm rooms are very expensive but i think he has it.

Hmmm, you sure? You wanted Stef to room with you for that reason? Or is it Kip who you want to see? And did you ask Stef who she wanted to room with in the Quad?

A few weeks ago when Tom told Tiff that he could not go on vacation with her, he told her that things were booming. I guess business suddenly dropped off sharply…

I don’t get why they just try to sublet a couple of students. With a very thorough background check of course.

There must be a bug in Tom’s porridge, and that bug is of the financial nature. He probably spends more on lawn care then he would for an upgrade on a college dorm room. He toots off to Europe and offers to send Tiffany and a friend to Hawaii. There is a hand in his till and it could belong to the IRS or ……..Ann Eiffel.

As if Tif’s father really CARES about his daughter in the first place! ;/

I’m not really crazy about this new format.

I don’t think that became an agreement between Dez and Stefi yet. They were going to share a room unless Stefi decided to room with Tiffany. The ball is in Stefi’s court.

That’s actually a pretty good deal, to have a roommate who’s always away. I think I had a roommate like that. Maybe. I don’t recall ever meeting her. Anyway, that “quad” sounds awesome, that three other people will live with you but one person won’t be around so it will feel like you live alone. That Fuse job must be incredibly lucrative. And how nice for Mr. Idiot that he finally learned where his daughter will be living this semester.

It always works out in the end. (Except when it doesn’t)

Tiffany is much more than a “pretty” face.

Wait… Was Ann right and was Tom really having a trouble with money? This is a true surprise! Tiffany doesn’t tell to her father her terribile idea of steal Stefi’s boyfriend to her but the advantages of having the room for herself… I kinda hope Stefi and Kip have broken up and she will spend every moment in the room, telling Tiffany how awful Kip is so much to convince her to feel only disgust for him.

This is what I thought. She wants to room with Stef, because Stef is never there.

It’s odd he can pay for the mansion, offer to pay for a vacation in Hawaii but cannot afford a private room? I think Tiff’s expectations are going turn out different than she imagines. This is as close to a dead bang prediction that can be made in the strip.

She’s saying that to her father? Tiffany is moving towards chaotic evil.

I think Gunther goes to the same school. He seems to live at home with Les. How does he get to school? He doesn’t have a car. He must commute. That means any of the kids can take public transportation. If Tiff really wanted a private room she could just stay at the mansion. I’ve been to Maui and it is not cheap. Where did that money go?

Hmmm….Tiffany, it could go the opposite way. They might kick YOU out of the room many nights when they want to be alone. Have seen that happen. You’ll be sleeping in the common area and not in your bed.

I wonder if Tiffany has really secured her desired roommate arrangement.

Also, how is it that Tom can afford to have a mansion that will now sit empty for the vast majority of the time, but he can’t afford a private room for Tiffany? I would think his next words might be “Well, since I don’t need it any more and the utilities are through the roof, I’m selling the mansion.”

Sure, that arrangement will work out just fine…. Until it doesn’t…

One thing that could upset Tiffany’s 3rd-frame plan is a break-up between Stef n Kip, with Kip moving completely out of sight.

And here I thought Tiff wanted to move in with Stef to move in on Kip; I prefer this development.

Or Rip might spend a lot of time with Staph at the dorm, and you will have TWO roomies!

He flies a lot. The trip to Hawaii could have been paid with frequent flier miles.

Maybe Tom is saying that so Tiffany will move back to the dorm and have people her own age around her instead of being alone all the time.

So THAT’S why everyone wanted to room with Steffi. She will always be in Kip’s room and it will be like having a private room. Plus, Tiff is also hoping for a glimpse of Kip now and then.

Hope Stef remembers to put a sock on the outside of the door handle and Tiff remembers what it means.

Our girls the clever little thing. I wonder if this current Stef will have morphed over the quarantine and be something different than when we last saw her. I would venture that something will be different. Remember that Dez is also presuming that Stef will room with her.

Once again GnK plays fast and loose with Tom’s wealth. It appears that now he is still suffering the financial ravages of his encounter with Ann Eiffel.

We appear to be returning to college/dorm life in the strip. I wonder how Luann and Bernice will be handled. Bernice is at Uni while Luann has, supposedly, completed her two year Pitts Community College courses. Will she choose a major and join the group at Mooney Uni?

I had a suspicion that she wasn’t really after Kip.

Daddy money bags can’t afford a room? C’mon man.

Tiff is looking confident and sexy in the third panel. Is this about daddy’s financial problems or Tiffany’s pending roommates? Will Tiff recruit Bets to investigate shady financial goings on, or will this be all about Steff’s obsession with make up? Do we go high, or do we go low? I think Tiff has matured enough to have risen above the ditzy stage.

Or, you could just stay in your private mansion?

Well, that strategy for Tiffany will only work for as long as her room-mate Stef stays in good graces with her boyfriend. If they have a falling-out, Tiff can expect to be not only sharing “her space” more but to be listening to Stef be the cry-baby.

Out of all the characters, its the rich girl Tiffany going to live in a quad dorm …. why. Tiff has a mansion to live in, a complete kitchen, I would assume a pool and your own private bathroom. To go live in a dorm with a shared microwave, cafeteria food and a communal bathroom and shower. The only positive thing for a dorm is people, and that is a stretch. There aren’t too many female characters we met from Mooney U. Dez, Stef, the dark haired girl from the A hall gang, Bets, Berniece. I think the rest are scattered at the community college. If we do get one or two new characters they will just go away shortly like Pru, Tara, Crystal and the rest.

Planned absences. Smart.

Tom’s comment about being ‘close’ hints at his desire for Tiff to have friends her own age.

In my sophomore year of college (NAU Flagstaff) I had a Hopi roommate who was about seven years older than me. He was married with a kid, so nearly every weekend he went home to the reservation. It was FANTASTIC. Go girl!

Maybe he realizes that spoiling her is not the way to bring up your child

Why does Tiffany want to room with Stef if she is interested in Kip? Seems to me that it would be better to interact with him without his girlfriend around. Lots of places on campus where you can innocently run into someone without being their girlfriends’ roommate.

I was in one of those quad suites my senior year. My roomie left school at the end of the first semester, and for the whole second half of the year I had a private room (with the exception of one 3-day period when the university billeted a visiting guest with me)!

But how will this develop for Tiffany? Will she be gifted with some rude awakening?
