Brad is a lucky man.

I enjoyed having a Brad and Toni arc… wish it ended better. I feel Brad will probably be waiting years until they’ll stop being “safe”.

So will we finally get to see what Tiff has been up to on Monday??

And they will continue to maybe want kids possibly, but nothing in the strip will change. I hope you enjoyed another week of wheel-spinning.

One panel sounds like a “Who’s on first?” routine

Once you start having children the you lives will change. Hopefully for the best.

Poor Brad, his trophy wife yanks his leash and offers him a few treats and he is so grateful that she can make him do anything that she wants, if she wants, when she wants. Sorry Brad, hope she’s worth it.

I’m glad I didn’t go this route. Take out the fun of parenthood. I didn’t take prenatal vitamins u til I was pregnant and was given those like most women. And most of us gave birth to healthy children and others who weren’t were likely results of genetic defienceies or substance abuse and not missed prenatal supplements. We also drank alcohol before finding out and stopped at that point. No foul. I guess I prefer things to go naturally. I did and things turned out well for us. My children grew up into two fine men and I have 4 adorable grandchildren and my son is a good dad. And all 4 of them were unplanned too. They lack nothing. Well fed. Well loved. Well clothed. Have their own bedrooms. Well mannered. And they were results of unplanned pregnancies. Planned pregnancies don’t equal to better children or better parents or better lives or better homes.

Safe sex is sensible but is it fun?

A few posters have suggested that Brad and Toni formally adopt Shannon. Well, to do that, Jonah would have to sign away his parental rights, meaning he can no longer use her as a tax deduction (which is probably his only interest in her). In that light, Brad and Toni would have to file formal charges of child abandonment.

Anyone think that Toni would do that to her own brother? Not to mention the long hours she and Brad would have to spend in court?

Brad, when you said you didn’t care if being ready and having a wee one were a thousand miles apart, Toni took you literally. Good thing you’re a patient man!

And yet, she refused wine, and she is readying for having one just in case… It seems that Toni is torn between having and not having. Between past trauma and a future in a normal family

I miss Luann.

I think it was stretched out just a bit too long. It wasn’t cute, funny, or interesting anymore by the time the arc ended. And I hope it ended.

Toni is REALLY starting to annoy me.

I guess you could say they’re taking baby steps.

The longer this arc goes on, the more Brad and Toni show they’re not ready, nor fit, to be parents.

Once Toni becomes pregnant, the strip will stop being about Luann even more than it’s currently not about Luann. I doubt we’ll ever actually see Toni becoming pregnant.

OK. Spring Break is over. Time for the final exams push. So it’s back to the Quad Monday.

DUH, that’s right Brad. Not very quick is he? He needs to quit being such a spoiled brat, get a clue, and read between the lines. Toni is saying no children until you are financially secure enough for someone to quit work and provide full-time parental care. Of course, it will have to be Toni, because all Brad would do is play video games all day long with TJ if he was home and on his own.

There’s such a thing as over planning. If you really want to have a baby, just do it and deal with the issues as they come up.

All this talk & planning about life rather than just living it…

Stop discussing and start having fun, safely.

Dear Brad & Toni, Accidents and Blessed Miracles happen…sometimes in the same moment. WE plan, God laughs and soon, all your joys, trials and tribulations are little ones.

Usually it’s the woman chomping at the bit to have kids…

I am sure Brad is not in the mood to be “safe” right now. I am sure he has no desire for anything sexual at this point.

It’s good to see that the normal couple remain normal thankfully in this place of extremes. There’s plenty of other volatile places which erupt without notice causing kayos to the inhabitants within its reach. Monday will probably swing back to one of those places and will provide extreme fun. Time for another curve and dip on my favorite coaster ride. I’m all buckled and hands on the handle-bars. Lets Go!!!

I like the way Toni is organizing everything. Now even Brad totally agrees with her, Toni is happy and knows that they have to alternate moments of serious planning with others of pleasure to be able to do everything without going mad. She wants to evaluate every possibility before taking action so that she can be sure they will make as few mistakes as possible. This shows the influence of her work as a firefighter and I like it. I think that one day Toni will become captain!

Evidently, Toni, pretty Toni, isn’t ready for pregnancy. So Brad, ole boy, keep the condom.

Don’t do it until you are both ready! It is difficult enough to raise children when both parents want them! I think that they are being wise in considering how it will change their lives and whether they are ready for that profound change. I say, good for them for thinking it through.

I’m SO grateful to see the end of this tedious arc ! Why is this magnificent woman wasting her life on this tedious oaf ?

Safer if you don’t go — for now anyway.

I’ve always known being “safe” to refer to protection against AIDS and other STD’s while having sex, rather than contraceptives to prevent pregnancy. There is overlap of course but it took me a minute to realize what they were talking about.

And TJ is safe from moving out for now. And we all know Greg had Luann give Aaaaaron Hill a shirt or cake that says waiting is sexy, my God!

Wait, we only get 1 week of Brad and Toni? I’d rather read about my favorite couple than deal with another Piro arc.

I agree with making sure you can actually manage the basics of a child (like having what to do with it while you work, and having adequate money for it so that it doesn’t grow up feeling horrible). But all this discussion makes me wonder: Can someone remind me, whose idea was it to blow their savings into building a bedroom for Shannon? I do remember they didn’t think it was going to cost them all their savings because they didn’t think to get a permit, but even so, whose idea was it to build the room?
