If someone can build an app for that, they will be very successful.

If you’re willing to pay all their charges.

The combined charges should be ok. I mean maybe less than the national debt. And for that you get a choice between dreck and bupkis. Listening to a tour of the universe from Alexa would be marginally more interesting and cost less.

The problem with all the services is that they are at the mercy of content providers. So things get “bundled” and this is why you pay for 6 “good” channels and 400 infomercial channels.

My problem is that there is one show I want to watch on one streaming service and another on a different one, and so on

Sure I could find more content once I had the services, but its just too much to have so many

That thought has occured to me as well. It’s annoying to have to many streaming services. As it is, we only have Netflix and Prime.. plus local channels. That seems to be enough. Though I do wish I could find a way to watch all the shows I loved as a kid. That’s what these streaming platforms are missing: nostalgia!

Good idea. And they could include dozens of shopping channels, bulletin boards, weather for someplace on the other side of the country (any country) and a bunch of ‘Only available to premium subscribers’.

That means you have reduced your “boredom coefficient” to “expensive”.

My father’s solution. He got two channels on his rooftop antenna. “I check, and if I don’t like either one, I turn it off and read a book”

My smart tv has all the streaming apps in one place. It is not a major trial

She has a good point, except for the cable part. Each streaming service wants to be exclusive and pulling their content from other streaming services. Finding a one-size-fits-all service is becoming more and more difficult.

Don’t give them any ideas! The monthly bill would break everyone with an income under six figures! :-D

I’d be happy to get cable without the sports. I’ve heard that sports stations are the most expensive. There is such a cable service last time I looked, but it was also limited as to other channels I like to watch.
