My wife and I are both retired in the sense that the work that we do is not for pay. My wife is a deacon in the Episcopal Church. It sucks because it ties up the weekend so we can’t do things with our non-retired friends. She does get one weekend a month off.
So Sunday is our Monday.
Also, we don’t get to visit the grandkids for Christmas or Easter when they are out of school. As you can imagine, it’s “all hands on deck” for clergy during those seasons.
This was my exact sentiment before I retired. Saturday was the weekend, and I spent much of every Sunday dreading going back to work the next day. I cherished three-day weekends because I could truly enjoy two of those days.

Time is money but time is relative to the observer. So the passage of observed time depends on whether you’re raking or raking it in.

Sunday never really felt like a weekend day to me until after I retired.

Used to feel that way when I was in school. Fortunately I really enjoy my work, so Monday’s are no problem for me…(sorry, suckas! Lol!)

weekends should really be 3days long – one to recover from past week – one to prepare for the next week – one in between to enjoy
