Isn’t it obvious? Number 1 took his pension and number 3 stole the rest to buy skateboards and I-phones. Why would anyone suspect an upstanding citizen like number 2?

one of the problems is our lengthening life spans. When pensions were first offered people died younger. Now it is difficult to fund them, since we are healthier in general. Does that mean that those who counted on it during their working years should just “suck it up?” No. but for those coming into the system there will have to be changes.

Pension, pfui! I’m just gonna have 3 dozen kids to support me in my old age. Yeah, THAT’S the ticket. (Of course, maybe I should’ve started 50 years ago, when I was 25.)

It’s geezer #1. Payments to retirees now over age 75 have forced many pensions to the point of insolvency due to overly optimistic longevity & return assumptions.

It’s his own fault for not holding his elected representatives accountable for allowing corporate theft to be unaccountable. And it’s his own fault for voluntarily agreeing to work for the corporations terms.
