Following this arc, I keep thinking of the phrase “failing your way to the top.”

I get it. They were afraid one of the early prototype Amazon drones would fall on them.

Paid plug? Great revenue stream. Amazon is short on income.

Interesting, a paid product placement in a sunday comic strip!. Author must have a payment due on an expensive boat or car.

Amazons: The warrior women who had courage and pride and lived outside the world of men from Greek Mythology. Not the internet company.

A woman with the ideas. A woman with the plan. Why in this day and age are so many people still opposed to a woman who can lead us all?

I’m not sure what’s going on, but it all seems to be coming out all right. (The king in Jim Henson’s Frog Prince 1971)

Have no clue where this is going but my wife and I are enjoying the trip.

Seems like they’re suddenly surrounded by a herd of mastodons. Maybe that’s what the men were running from?

@ Wiley, you are truly a master !!.

Each of us views your art from our own perspective. Our view of the world, current history in the making, our own experiences. I reach back to English literature classes 50 years ago ( OK I’m dating myself ) and how we mangled the classics. What were the symbols the author included and what did they mean? The choice of words? What was the context of history? And so much more. Maybe the author just enjoyed writing..

When you draw a flower growing from a crevice, maybe it was just to fill a space. One of us will see it as the dandelion we picked as a child to give to mother. One of us will be that mother remembering the gift of a child. One of us will remember the hopeful gift to a lover. One of us will see beauty in the midst of desolation. One of us will see hope for humanity. And most of us will never have noticed..

Is AM-MA-ZON a product placement? Is it a reference to strong and independent women? Is it the origins of “amazing”? I thought of all three and had a good laugh..

What I’m trying to say is don’t be offended when we interpret things into your art that you may have intended differently, or maybe not at all. In the end you bring joy to us and inspire each of us every day. THANK YOU

Reminds me of a science fiction story I read years ago. Shakespeare is brought forward in a time machine. He finds the modern world fascinating until he takes a class on Shakespeare. He leaves in a huff. The class focused totally on Shakespeare’s symbolism and what he really meant. He flunked the class.

What is Wiley getting at with this series of comics? Maybe if I knew what he was skewering, I’d like it.

Gennady Tartakofsky’s Primal is just a tad different. Speaking of it would be nice to have this animated. There would be nothing like anywhere.
