In our town there’s a brick-n-mortar bar / restaurant that has a bar inside and the kitchen in the truck by the back door, I’ve never seen the truck move, or appear to have been moved, but the tires are fully inflated.
Sadly, “overpromise and underdeliver” is the foundational ethic for most “successful” business executives and government officers. I really have to wonder how failing upward became a thing.
The phonier the front, the worse the kitchen. That taco truck has a freezer full of microwave Mexican not-quite cuisine and and only one zapper to handle the lunch crowd. The line fools people into thinking it’s a good place.
