This is the first thing that made me smile today. The comments on most cartoons are filled with politics and fear. So glad to find a bit of respite. Thank you, Mr. Parisi, more than you’ll ever know.
I just love owls! We have a pygmy owl that shows up periodically at our place, and one time I sat down and watched it for some time, and it just stayed perched on a branch. I took my phone out, started taking pictures, and thought I’d get closer, So I slowly walked up to it, taking pictures all the time, until I was maybe a foot away. I was thinking what a friendly little fellow, but upon further research, I found out it was probably terrified of me, and stayed perfectly still (maybe like in movies with dinosaurs? where they say stay perfectly still so it can’t see us?) Don’t know how the researchers came to that conclusion, but just in case they’re right, I’ll keep my distance next time!

That is really good. I always pin a strip if it makes me laugh out loud.

Owls really do sleep on their stomachs. Or at least owlets do! Put ‘baby owls sleeping on their stomach’ in your search engine and get ready to squee!

Their ability to turn their heads makes it hard to tell what they’re up to, also!

Mark Parisi, if you’re reading this: This is one of the most clever cartoons I’ve ever seen.
