Ruthie you have a very good grandpa. Not sure if grandma would splurge like that. My own mom won’t with her grandkids especially now her grandkids are older will definitely not.
An ice cream place around here has cake batter ice cream! It is good enough to have me going back to see when they have the chocolate cake batter flavor.
Hmm, I’ve heard of some odd flavors: Spaghetti and meatballs, Tunafish, Brocolli, Dill pickle, Ketchup, Onion, Horseradish, and even Sauerkraut ice cream.

30-odd flavors is just not enough.
Marcus Dairy Bar in Danbury, CT makes ice cream and similar frozen dairy products in lots of flavors, offering about 25 on any given day, and I never get tired of either the standby favorites (like maple walnut) or their less commonly-seen creations (like Moose Tracks and Coconut Almond).
If I lived anywhere near the place, I’d be fat as hell.
I find it “odd” that people want solids like cookies in ice cream. I bought an icecream maker last month but my PC was down for 3 weeks so I have not yet researched the recipes online. I regularly eat low salt healthy pizza now (because I could eat it every day) and I make that in batches of 8. I will also find recipes that are yummy and healthier for ice cream as well. Cooking is a great hobby!
