Impressive that Schulz mentioned the possibility of going to the Moon this early; this comic not only came out before any humans had been to space, it even predates Sputnik.

… and the SUN is barely bigger than a light bulb.

And another flat Earther is reveled.

Wasn’t there a song a song on Sesame Street that went “It’s about the size, where you put your eyes, that’s about the size of it”?

Lucy doesn’t look things up, because she can’t conceive of any source knowing more than she does.

Too bad that Lucy apparently has never read the lovely story, Many Moons, by James Thurber. Might have given her a different perspective.

But fortunately as you approach the moon, you get smaller as well, so the proportion works out.

Rule of thumb: If you put out your thumb and it just covers the moon, that means they’re the same size. It also means they’re at the same distance. That’s logic for you!
