Rat: Do you ever think that as a society we've grown soft? That rather than rely on our God-given abilities, we now just rely on someone or something else to give us a boost? Goat: I don't think that's true. I think - Noise: BEEP BEEP. Roadrunner: Spare a buck for two tired roadrunners? Goat: That's disturbing. Roadrunner: Money, please.

Society has always relied on something else. It would seem if one were to study society that a percentage use GOD and the Devil as Scapegoats for our collective behavior. aloha!

Well, the birds drive that Segway a lot better than the former owner of Segway!
mark-r almost 13 years ago
I want a segway but don’t have $5,000 for one.

I thought that a segway was a transition between or end of a sentence/commercial…

And to move smoothly to another topic…I wonder what the coyotes are driving this season?
orinoco womble almost 13 years ago
Wasn’t it the inventor of the Segway that rode one off a cliff to his death?

Those roadrunners are like politicians asking for money like they’re poor but yet able to have expensive stuff like a segway.

Oh, the times! Oh, the customs! What has this world come to, when roadrunners ride Segways and panhandle?!Stop the world! I want to get off!

Is that the group “Wheelie Dan”?

Certain sectors of the population have always been soft – it’s just that they used slaves or cheap servants to do their work for them, and now they use machines. Maybe now, just more people are soft.

Yet another segue….How much does a Seg weigh?
What Shenanigans almost 13 years ago
It’s hard for me to understand what these roadrunners are saying, since they don’t hold up signs or speak in “Meeps.”
Sirzanne almost 13 years ago
I think so… but hiding behind a guise called SEGWAY ARMY!

If you’re finding religious commentary in your daily comics – which, personally, I read for humor – maybe you need to go elsewhere for your daily dose.

Of course, many generations have been called “soft.” Adolph Hitler thought Great Britain was soft in the ’30s, as Japan did the Americans. Later the Communists thought the West was soft. Now the militant Islamists think the West is soft and corrupt.
.
I suspect that you could go back to the days of Socrates and find that they were getting soft. In some cases it was true, and someone did collapse when attacked. However, it is more common that the trials of life inspire us to find the strength within.

I remember when a segway was just a bridge between two cool tunes. (I know it’s spelled different, gimme a break)
