OK, having Rat as the ref makes for the obvious jokes, but wouldn’t Zebra make more economic sense (you wouldn’t have to buy him a uniform, after all)?

OTOH, if they were to play the crocs, Zebra’s life expectancy would be about the same as one of them old Mutant League Football refs (i.e. the first call he makes against the crocs…)

Rat being the ref reminds me of an episode of “Its always Sunny in Philladelphia” where Charlie was the ref in youth basketball game. All he did was blow the whistle and take the ball and dribble and scoring all while dribbling

Excessive fatness would put a LOT of Americans on the bench.

Mr. Snuffles looks adorable in his shorts. But rat better watch out, kitty is no silent bystander. It’s a good thing ratty is a central character.

Pig’s just right for an Easter ham

Someone may have said this earlier, but Tank McNamara has a good take on this same topic today.

Rat is definitely reminiscent of a kid i knew in school in special ed. Pig reminds me of the fat gullible kid next to him.

I can’t get over Mr. Snuffles in Gym Shorts. My favorite character. Makes me laugh when I look at him.

Still better than the replacement refs from the NFL 2012 Season.
