Well…I don’t do a “To Do” list. I do a “I got these things done” list. I call it my “Victory List.” Doing a Victory List helps me fight depression because it motivates me to get something done. Count everything at first—taking a shower, brushing your hair. If you get to eight things by the end of the day, write “Victory!” at the bottom of your list and give yourself some stars and smiley faces. Depression freezes you. But this is a way to break out of it.
If something now or later, might or might not, seem to cause a problem either now or later, it is easily solved by saying “F it”. Thereby putting the problem whether solved or unsolved, behind you, letting life go on at a normal unhindered pace.
At my age, I dutifully make a To-Do list daily. Then my advancing senility kicks in, and I either lose it, or if I find it I look at it and wonder who’s been writing me lists of things to do. . . .
There’s one thing on Pig’s list, and he didn’t do it. First off, he made a list. Doesn’t sound like procrastination to me. Second, he procrastinated. I’m sorry, weren’t you supposed to procrastinate about doing that?

On this topic, does anyone have any real suggestions for how to not procrastinate?

Goat.
Make an earnest to do list, lock it in a strong box. Mail the key to a random address postage due and with a random return address.
Go to the hardware store and buy a bunch of key blanks. Begin acting on your to-do list once one of those key blanks open the strong box.
If none work, blame Rat.

Brother gave hubby “a round To It” once. It’s been many years and I don’t know where it is now.

“Put off until tomorrow what you do not have to do today!” That should be the mantra of Pig!

Procrastinating means pushing things off to some later time. Instead of procrastinating, how about just deciding not to do certain things at all?

I’m not saying that I’m a procrastinator but I have one item on my to do list that’s been there for 15 years.

I maintain a list of things done. Much more satisfying.

Pig should also have, ‘Eat cheese’ and ‘Lie in bed’ on his list. Remember kids, set expectations low.
