When people think about who should be first, they don’t usually think about grocery store workers but that is a major place where the illness is spread.
Well, right after medical personel and occupants of nursing homes, they ARE going to prioritize people who have preexisting conditions. And lord knows pun-mania is a condition…
I would put Steve ahead of politicians for sure and not just those intellectually or morally disadvantaged who favor the Trumpster. It kind of riles me of the arrogance that some of the elitist left have basically acted like they are royalty as this pandemic rages and I am not just throwing stones at Newsome and the mayors of San Fran, San Jose, Denver and Austin TX (lets just call him Mr Cabo) as they are probably just a handful who were shocked when the media actually called them out. The arrogance of the privileged is not bound to just one party or a political persuasion; “Do as I say and not as I do” is a mantra for all to remember when all these nimrods come up for re-election.
It is going to be a strange twist of fate if the vaccine ends up killing as many people as the virus did. I am thinking that may just be what ends up happening.
In Florida, Gov. DeathSentence is going against guidelines by vaccinating residents of nursing homes first, BEFORE healthcare workers! Makes no sense at all. The healthcare workers leave the facility and go elsewhere. They can possibly bring the virus in. Wouldn’t it be better to vaccinate them first, rather than people who never leave the facility?
I’ve gotten along quite well so far without a vaccine. I’m pretty sure I’ll be fine. Let the politicians take the first dose since they’re so “essential.”
I would have been willing to be a test subject, but there’s no rush for me for a regular vaccine. I may be one of the people expected to suffer more from COVID-19, but I don’t go anywhere either. I was staying home and social distancing before it was cool.
A book I read and reported on in 1955, “100,000,000 Million Guinea Pigs,” suggests to wait to see what happens to those first, er guinea pigs. The Lemon Laws came somewhat later.
Amazing artwork for this cartoonist! @StevenPastis. Although it appears that each panel is the same (except for the speech balloons), each one is slightly different. Individually drawn, not copied.

No Pfizer vaccine for me. The extremely cold temps required from creation of the vaccine batch to thawing no more than 6 hours prior to injection leaves little room for error. Some say that blockchain is needed to document that the vaccine has been handled properly.
