Ziggy, no pants; The gang in this strip, no pants either. Pants/no Pants seems to lose any significance when it comes to cartoon characters.

All species evolved in the past. There are no guarantees about the future; especially with extinctions happening. Do zoo animals evolve?

The elusive trick is creating a new species through evolution that can’t interbreed with the original stock.

Male nipples are proof of evolution!

“It’s been proven” is a pretty vague thing to say, Goat. Watch out for pedantic jerks.

My brother has yet to evolve.

Some times you actually get to watch it happen. Consider: Barney Rubble and Wilma Slaghoople had mere dots for eyes, but Fred Flintstone and Betty McBricker had fully-formed (for cartoon characters) eyes with whites and everything. All their kids had the latter. Obviously, the series takes place right at a significant turning point in animated cave-person evolution.

GOOFY IS MORE EVOLVED THAN DONALD?

We shan’t go into the reason that Mickey divorced Minnie. This is, after all, a family comic. :3

Pantsless Pig, Goat and Rat have not yet evolved.

But Goofy’s not a dog. He is, actually, a cow (I guess a lame bull then technically).

Being that there is no actual observable evidence of Evolution, this theory is as valid as any.

I never did figure out why Goofy could talk, but Pluto, not so much.

If Goofy’s proof of evolution, we’re all in trouble.

Not a believer in evolution but whatever the opposite is – it’s been happening in our country the past 2 years!

Wearing pants only means they ate from the “Tree of Knowledge”, evidently.

Donald Duck doesn’t wear pants, either. Nor any main character in the Looney Tunes universe. Explain that, science!

If a thing evolves more than once, does that make it a revolution? And if it happens in a forest with no one to hear it, does it make a sound? (There’s an argument for it making a sound of one hand clapping, but it doesn’t have a leg to stand on.)

As humanoids spread the fringes adapted to new conditions. Raiding & trade spread the adaptations back through, increasing adaptability. Humping anything remotely human when there were several vaguely human options helped. I’m a little bit Neanderthal, some inlaws & close relatives are also a little bit Denisovan. Racial purity is an evolutionary dead end.

ALL the ducks wear pants. Porky Pig wears a damn tie, but no pants. It’s chaos, I tell you- chaos !

Got it backwards, Pluto does pant, but Goofy doesn’t.

Pants, talking, “advanced” doesn’t matter. What matters is what traits keep a species alive and reproducing.

In the Disney cartoon universe, Goofy is not a dog. He is a person who resembles a dog, just as Mickey Mouse is a person who resembles a mouse and Donald Duck is a person who resembles a duck. Pluto, however, is an actual dog, which is why he can’t talk.

recently saw a nice cartoon on fb of mickey mouse & pooh bear standing out in the snow – pooh is naked & mickey is wearing a long coat. mickey pulls out a pair of shears, cuts off the top of his coat & gives it to pooh – pook now has his iconic shirt & mickey is left in his red shorts – win win!

I don’t want to know what kind of science grades Rat got in school.
