Love the expression in the last panel.

    “I LIKE cheese!”

Heh, heh…Phoebe is still getting a unicorn-related binder; a primary tenet of the unicorns’ philosophy is the Gray Path, which holds that good does not lie at one end of a continuum that has bad at its other end. Instead, good lies in the middle of a continuum that has bad extremes at both ends. A human example would be parents who help and guide their children too much (“helicopter parents”) versus parents who are totally uninvolved with their children—the Gray Path solution is exemplified by parents who help and guide their children in appropriate measures, neither too much nor too little. Also:

Unicorns are the harmony between order and chaos, living the Gray Path in this case.

I wounder what is on that binder? So many things that could be perfect and also not unicorns. Its like Im actually excited to see what happens next even though its just the binder. Will it be some thing the mom hates? some thing Marigold hates? Will it be a fox? a dragon? a Pegasus? A flaming Skull?

    1. Get gray binder. 2. Print out photos of Marigold. 3. Paste photos onto binders or get binder with photo pockets.

Oh I miss read the comic last night, reading Gray and Grate or maybe Great. Still it speaks of odd choices.

One of those rare instances where the mundane seems oddly more inviting.

CONTRAST! to make the white sparkle put it next to a dark navy or black. A little Grey gives depth next to pure color..Gotta watch that you don’t mix too much in or it dulls everything.

The story of “Crusade” turned out to be even worse than we thought at the time. Years later, Joe Strazynski found out that TNT had deliberately undermined it from the beginning because they discovered that “Babylon 5” had drawn a college-educated audience, and, at the time, TNT was trying to build up a highly selective audience of beer-suckin’, cousin-lovin’, thirteen-toed wrasslin’ fans. But if they had simply canceled “Crusade”, they would have had to pay a large contractual penalty, so they decided instead to torment Joe with idiotic and offensive “executive suggestions” until he cracked.

(Don’t blame TNT now, though; those executives are long gone.)

To be an artist is to choose a lifetime of being screwed over by the “suits”.

Brrrrrrrrr! Let’s turn to something more pleasant—the matter of unicorns and habituation.

Did you know that they had Renaissance faires in the middle ages. Well, not literally /Renaissance/ faires, because the Renaissance hadn’t happened yet, but they had “Round Tables”, where everybody dressed up as characters from Camelot. So there you are. They actually had the Romantic Middle Ages thing, and yet they wished for more. Real kings would dress as Arthur and real queens would dress as Guinevere. I have a feeling that if I were G. K. Chesterton I could finish this paragraph better, but maybe you can see, anyway; some unicorns live in the faraway land of Moor Eeffoc.

Having had cats for so many years, maybe that’s why I would often choose calendars that had a theme that was not about cats.
