Toward the end of her life, when we kids would come visit our mom, she’d greet the first to arrive by their name. Maybe “Hi Molly” (big hug). The rest would then be “Molly” for the rest of the visit. Including the boys…
Mom always mixed up our names. She even went so far as to call me by the dogs name once. Jonah was an exceptional dog, so I didn’t mind so much. It has been worth years of torment to mom.
Super great today , because the precious Roscoe is in the comic in two frames , one and three . His eyes in the first frame are just great . Thanks Brian , great today .
Mom was once mad at me and wanted me to stop doing something, she used my brother’s name, my sister’s name (?) and the DOG’s name before she got to mine. Cracked me up, but got my attention.
I’m 78 and we just got a female rescue dog that acts like a male….& a male rescue kitty to join our 2 female cats…..what a mess …I’m now mixing up names and pronouns big time !

just you wait, lady, until “Roscoe” asks you — as Muffin — when dinner is

That is one observant kid.

This is in retaliation for the time Earl accidently called Opal ‘Aunt Jemima’.

It’s not a compliment to Roscoe.

If it’s tough being a boy named Sue, try being a girl named Ralph.

mom would call us by two names and which ever one was last was the one she really wanted.

I sympathize, I had caught up the cash to buy a Chase Lounge for the same reason and have been suffering ever since.

Why would he stick his nasty shoes on top of a nice wood table in the first place? Even Roscoe stays off it.

Growing up with three kids and their three cats names often got jumbled when yelling for the cat to stop and the kid to stop them.

Opal, you should have said,“Just kidding”. It makes it seem like you didn’t slip up.
