Hockey is turning this way, mostly because refs have gotten to think if someone is injured there must be someone committing a penalty to cause it. So now some players fake it, because the refs don’t call diving anymore.

I suspect that Snuffles is going down. Afterall, with all the bomb plots, his hand to hand skills have fallen off pretty dramatically…Snuffles has put on a few pounds since his younger days too…

I remember as a kid and even teenager, riding my bicycle just about everywhere, including two-a-days for football. You don’t see many kids riding their bikes around these days which is probably a bigger contributor to growing obescity than all the things the food police and PETA want to regulate.

I think there are two things that don’t work well together…lots of dialogue, and a vertically compressed comic. That said, I’ll be writing my own notes in today’s newspaper.

I just posted a reply… but I’ll post it here too. I love college radio stations for jazz, blues, and electronica offerings, I never even considered NPR for them… good on them for preserving those forms of music as well. As to Dick and Jane… it is curious that there hasn’t been some satire regarding Dick and Jane as grown ups. But then again, is it necessary when so many grown ups are reading teen ‘literature’?

I actually love a lot of the local college radio stations for the jazz, blues, and electronica that they offer. If you’re suggesting that Dick and Jane should grow up… that it would provide entertainment… I can’t disagree. I’m a big fan of satire (as are all fans of this strip I imagine) and Dick and Jane stories are certianly worthy of satire.

ha ha ha. How are your kids going to learn how to insult opposing opinions rather than actually reason against them if you let them read Dick and Jane? ;)

Doesn’t grammar snootiness just fulfill the stereotype of NPR listeners as portrayed by rat? ;)
In the end, it isn’t the idiot politician, but the idiots who vote for the idiot politicians that are the real idiots, ha ha.
