Believe it or not, Black Ivory Coffee is more expensive than Jacu Bird Coffee. It costs about $2,000 per kilogram (2.2 pounds). It is made from Arabica coffee beans consumed by elephants and collected from their waste.

Don’t birds grind their food in the gizzard, so how does this affect the cherry? I even see my crows eat sand

Whomever first called the Lion the “king of the jungle” had clearly not been to many jungles.

If you knew how many lions Tarzan has killed then you know why the lion is no longer the king of the jungle. The Apeman made sure of that.

I do enjoy watching Amaury Guichon’s you tube videos on his many chocolate creations. They are quire marvelous. I would clip a few and insert them here normally, but that pass has closed.

Try putting his name into a youtube search. You won’t be disappointed. He uses 3D printing, CNC machines, and other means to make his many creations.

Also, Black Ivory Coffee made from Arabica cherries which are fed to elephants in Thailand prices $1,000 to $1,500 a pound. Then there’s Kopi Luwak. The coffee beans are chosen and partially digested by the Indonesian palm civet and then excreted. This removes the outer layer of the coffee bean and they are then thoroughly cleaned, roasted, and then distributed. Prices $150 to $600 a pound.

Why would anyone want to make coffee out of bird poop? And who first decided to brew the poop from these particular birds to make the finest(?) coffee known to mankind? And who gets into this poop to get those beans? Asking for a friend.

We grind up and brew the seed of the coffee cherry for our coffee drinks. Does anyone eat or use the coffee cherry in food? Coffee cherry pie? (Could you nap after a piece of coffee cherry pie?)

There’s a recording of The Weavers performing “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” (whose lyrics say "In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the lion sleeps tonight) with a spoken disclaimer at the beginning that the lion is actually a plains species (and also that they’re primarily nocturnal).

A tribute band called “Work of the Weavers” attempted to emulate this performance but completely screwed up the spoken intro, claiming instead that there are no lions in Africa (the song doesn’t even mention Africa).

Okay, so pay ridiculous amounts for coffee that has been pooped out by cats, elephants, and now birds. Though the bird one seems to be by far the most expensive.

I’ve always imagined they asked the lions what the forest was called, and they replied, “Grrr.”

I prefer a boiled water infusion using prepared tea leaves. You all can have your cat crap or elephant poop coffee all you want.

With all of these coffees improved by digesting them (3 mentioned here), can’t somebody find out what they can marinate the beans in? That would make a lot of money.

I want the tail from that chocolate leopard! And how many different varieties of poop coffee are there, now? Dave Barry wrote about the luwak coffee. And I think I recently heard of one from another animal. Now this from the birds? And no way am I paying that kind of money made out of poop.
