A man is doing yard work and his wife is about to take a shower. The man realizes that he can’t find the rake. He yells up to his wife, “Where is the rake?”
She can’t hear him and shouts back, “What?”
The man first points to his eye, then points to his knee and finally makes a raking motion. The wife is not sure and says, “What?”
The man repeats his gestures. The wife replies that she understands and signals back. She first points to her eye, next she points to her left breast, then she points to her butt, and finally to her crotch. Well, there is no way in heII the man can even come close on that one. Exasperated, he goes upstairs and asks her “What in the heII was that?”
If some so-called expert wants to convince me that sitting in filthy bath water, rather under a clean shower (using a fraction of the water), is more hygienic, they’ve got a fight on…
I body shower once a week, unless I get dirty or sweaty. I cut my hair short and rinse/scrub usually daily. Over a decade ago I stopped using shampoo after reading a news article about it. My hair never looks greasy or smells dirty. It took a while for my scalp to stop turbo procuring oils that shampoo stripped away. I told my barber and she actually leaned over and smelled my head (much to the amusement of the cashier). She was amazed it smelled neutral. Check with a dermatologist. This may or may not be for you though. I know a guy who doesn’t use under arm deodorant but never has BO even when sweating. So everyone’s different.
Apropos showering every day, the Germans don’t, or didn’t, because the cost of heating water was quite high compared to their incomes in the ‘60s. They’d do a quick sponge of their pits and pubes and let it go at that.
My pup had surgery and 36 hours later let loose in his sleep on his loveseat…I used Chlorine urine remover and it took a while to fully dissipate (along with baking soda) but in the meanwhile, there was no itching of eyes!
There is an onsen town in Japan that is frequented by the macaques during the winter. They tend to use their own pools and avoid human interaction unless the humans are feeding them.
Showers might not be useful for one’s health, but they’re of benefit for one’s social interaction. One stinks without one’s shower (not every durn day but often enough).

I’ve showered daily since about 1969, it helps my skin which feels like it’s burning from the effects of Agent Orange. I’ve had no ill effects

Health advantage or not, I just don’t feel right until after I have had my shower in the morning.

I wonder if the snow monkeys stay in the bathes until spring?

At this time of the year I may take a shower more than once a day to keep cool.

In fact, not taking showers or baths makes you even healthier.
Nobody goes near you. You don’t catch anything. Ta-Da!

Well, it’s no wonder people aren’t allowed to answer their nature calls in swimming pools.

What experts think that removing sweat and dead skin is a performance?

We really appreciate you being “performative.” And if you’re not… avoid public transportation, please! :D

Mixing chlorine bleach and ammonia (urine) can produce toxic chloramine gas.

I once read that Henry VIII only had two “baths”. One was the day he was born, the other the day he died.
I also saw a video of those monkies, and there is a strict order of which one can use them, how long and which areas of the pool.

Get this. I shower twice a day. Morning and night. I never wanted to have that BO smell.

I wonder how many people out there are putting chlorine in their urine to see if that’s true…

was it year 9,999,999,999,999 that these monkeys figured things out or just today old enough?

So if your eyes burn when in a swimming pool it means that someone has peed in it. The chlorine itself doesn’t make your eyes burn.
And yes, I realize I’m just rewording (for clarity) what the strip said…
