Could anyone explain the source of hatred ERB had against lions? Almost in any of the novels Tarzan killed at least one (in “The Jewels of Opar” – four). There were lions with whom Tarzan befriended but a very few: Jad-Bal-Ja and two lions in “Tarzan the Untamed.”
