On June 12, 2007, honorary president of the victims of communism memorial foundation George W. Bush will lead the dedication of the "victims of communism" memorial near Union Station in Washington, D.C. (Bush: Any belief system that espouses income equality and treats workers with respect could only lead to the gulags!) An equal-time monument to the victims of capitalism has been deemed too unwieldy. Previous monuments have memorialized the victims of wars and genocide- but never the victims of an ideology.
