Hmm. When my friends say they’re going watching for thongbirds, these aren’t the photos they come back with…

Is that a warm and sunny day? I thought that they were extinct.

I’ve heard that there’s a kind of bird called a “booby”, but this is the first I’ve seen one, much less several.

“This a swimmin’ pool?”, “Yes, but a very small one”.

My bird bath is even more risque than the European style. No suits allowed.

Some of these comments are even better than the cartoon!

Hm, they must all migrate from a booby hatch.

When waiting in the checkout line at the supermarket, I often think “thank goodness for clothing”…It would be very ugly other wise….

Here’s the story of this cartoon: I had a dream where I’m watching a little bird do the front crawl in a bird bath and oh ya, he’s wearing a tiny silver Speedo. Weird but also kinda funny, right? I tell my wife and kids about my dream and they agree, weird and funny and since they know me well they aren’t surprised. I think that maybe I can turn this dream into a cartoon so I start to kick around some ideas. I think > bird > Speedo > European men … hmm > European Birdbath! I sit down, draw the cartoon, send it to Michael Gerber at The American Bystander and he purchases it 2 hours after its finished and it was published in issue # 17. As my cousin said, “You should sleep more”.
