Everybody should carry guns except black folks!

Follow the money.

We NEED bad guys to have guns, or us good guys wouldn’t need to defend girls from them – with GUNS!

Fear. Versus reason. Virtually every debate boils down to fear versus reason. The only one where reasonable people try to make folks afraid is climate change, and they are silly enough to believe that data and scientific evidence is the currency that will sway opinions.

All the logic supporting excessive gun ownership can’t change our gun deaths per capita compared to other nations.

I love the long rambling rationalizations for letting terrorists buy guns. But 5 guys went to a Bronco’s game and were denied entry because they were Sikh and wore turbans. The logic of the Right is amazing.

Yes, we get it Ruben. You don’t like guns. You don’t understand guns. You don’t understand how they are used, defensively, thousands of times a year (many more times than they are used to wrongly kill someone.) You don’t understand how guns provide the one real deterrent against a potential police state and how the second amendment is intended to make sure that the people always have the means to overthrow the government, by force, if necessary. The one thing this cartoon does get right is that the answer is more guns in the hands of good citizens. We know Ruben was intending irony and farce, but just because there are many who wrongly fear good people being armed, the problem lies with those who decide that all must have their rights removed or restricted because of the actions of a few.

Considering the number of guns and gun owners out there, you’d think we’d be the safest country on earth, but all that seems to be telling us that that we’re the one most controlled by irrational fear and paranoia. Right-wing pundits and NRA lobbyists have been saying for years that “Obama is going to take away your guns” yet NO substantive gun legislation has been passed since he took office. No, Obama isn’t the problem, it’s the gun lobby that loves selling more guns.

I do seem to have missed the memo where progressives are now supposed to think the secret, due-process-free “terror watch” and no-fly lists are good things.

If more good guys with more guns make everyone safer, why can’t I have a loaded gun at a gun show?

After all the woods are safe since the 2nd Amendment gives the right to arm bears.

Remind me again why extrajudicial punishment is a good thing?
