“Adantum” isn’t a bad name for an anti-depressant, but it isn’t ‘inviting’ enough for ‘a better life’.

I always favoured ‘Plib’ for a catch-all pill, invented by Peter Cook:

“I’d like to patent this pill. It’s called a Plib, and it cures all illnesses”

“Do you have one to show us?”

“No, I haven’t got one. It doesn’t exist yet. I’ve come up with the idea, and now scientists can develop it. But it’s the idea that counts and I should get the credit for that.”

I have seen the “New Mexico Radio Telescope Project” and it doesn’t look like that. Just saying.

Worse yet, “Take Excedrin to clear up that toenail fungus.” and a new copyright lawsuit takes over first contact.

I’m intrigued that Ruben came up with names for all the scientists.

Theoretically, all of our transmissions (radio, TV, data, communications, etc.) can travel infinitely. But our signals get very weak very quickly, and become indecipherable (to our equipment). Possibly an advanced alien civilization could detect and decipher our transmissions… could be very embarrassing for us…

Maybe those messages would come in more clearly if you switched long distance carriers.
