Bit of trivia for ya…

Clinking glasses was a way to insure that if your drink was poisoned by the person you are drinking with… you shared your fate with them. The clink was to try and splash the liquid into the others glass.

Any forecast of 1/2" of rain is issued as a flash flood warning for the Fink.

As long as that summer rain doesn’t include lightning and thunder, it’s not so bad.

And here I’d heard it was to enhance a drink of wine: one smelled it, one looked at/appreciated its color, one tasted it of course, felt the liquid in one’s throat and stomach, and by clinking glasses, one heard an appealing sound, thus engaging all senses.

Summer rain that gets me out of golfing with the king makes me feel fine!

I would never play golf in the rain, I would never play golf on the plain, I would never play here, I would never play golf there, I would never play golf anywhere…Yeah, my game sucks.

I’ll drink to that…..

That must be a highly localized shower if the sun is out while it’s raining.
