I was running wires through a tall pole barn with a partial mezzanine. I was up in the mezzanine pulling cable and walking backwards… my concentration was on routing the wires.I took a step back and there was nothing there. In my mind’s eye I was stepping off the edge of the mezzanine and was about to take a 30 ft fall onto concrete with building supplies scattered about…I had all those same visions.Luckily, a split second later my lower back hit the edge of the hatch I had stepped through.Hurt like blazes and knocked the wind out of me, but I could not have been happier!
