To me it depends on how you feel about the contents. If I like it or it’s a cool drink when I’m hot or hot drink when I’m cold. I think of it as half empty. If it’s something I hate (think the stuff you need to drink for some of the tests they do) it’s half full. I read a comment once about a relative said it depends on if you are pouring or drinking. I think it’s a stupid way to determine a persons outlook on life.
I hope the half that’s full of emptiness is the top half. According to Randall Munroe, if the bottom half is full of emptiness, things get messy real fast.

A realist would say that there’s twice as much glass as there needs to be.

Ziggy is such an optimist. I think the glass is half empty of fullness.

If you really think about it the glass is 100% full. Half full of whatever liquid is in it and half full of air.

I see it as half empty when it’s a glass of beer and half full when it’s foul-tasting medicine.

I see the glass as refillable.

I don’t care if the glass is half-full or half empty, so long as FREE refills are available!

No, the glass is full. It’s just that half the contents is air.

Half full or half empty if it’s polyethylene glycol (PEG) then I don’t care, somebody said to mix it with Gatorade so long as it’s not red or purple.

Very meta for Ziggy.

And the beer drinker says it’s time for refill.
