Election Season is like Halloween, Christmas, or most people’s vacations. They are planning for the next batch/time… on Oct. 30, Dec. 24, and before the luggage is home. It is Never “OVER”.
I will stick with Douglas Adams from his Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy book series.
“It is a well known fact that those people who most want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it. To summarize the summary: anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job.”
I know! Even when it’s not election time we are all so subjected to bad media and politics. Let history repeats itself with Happy Days of those cool family TV shows. We all want that
Americans are lucky. They only have two parties. It’s either your guy, or the other side. In our country we have 3 official parties and half a dozen minor parties such as the Green Party, Christian Party, and the Rhinoceros and Hippopotamus Parties. – whatever they stand for? I never even hear about them except their names suddenly appear on the ballot. Usually their names begin with A or B since the ballot is listed alphabetically.
If you thought the election returns from 2000 took a long time to be “resolved”, you’re in for a revelation this year. Both sides will be loudly whining about “irregularities”. They will both be correct.
Campaign song refrain: You are a fluke of the universe. You have no right to be here. And whether you can hear it or not, The universe is laughing behind your back.
Deteriorata National Lampoon, 1972_ Could have been written today because it accurately describes one particular twitterpated candidate and his fractious mind.
Never in the history of the United States, has there been a worse choice for president than these two. No matter who wins, we the people, lose. How did we get here? Are we, the electorate, insane?
Now we aren’t even allowed to have/share our own opinions. Yahoo in all it’s wisdom decided to “temporarily suspend article comments”. We need the comment section, as that is where the truth is usually found. Journalism today is too political. Personally I don’t care about the facts. I want the truth.
1st two frames remind me of one of my favorite jokes: “How many women with PMS does it take to screw in a lightbulb?” — “Six” — “Why?” — “IT JUST DOES!”

I have never been so anxious for an election to be OVER. I don’t care who wins, just get it over with.

It is this time of year that we pre-record all the shows we watch then fast-forward through the political ads – we call it “Trash compacting.”

Just wait… the post election season is going to be far worse than the pre-election season with this mail-in ballot fiasco regardless of who wins!

I dunno; soon as it’s over, the House will try another fake impeachment. It may be worse then the election.
