Now it needs to freeze again, very fast.

So who’s gonna be who’s dinner?

I kind of remember pulling legs off flies when I was a kid. We didn’t test them scientifically, but since insects have six legs, I think they might be able to function okay with just four. They’ve got a pair to spare.

This reminds me of the arachnoid aliens in A Deepness in the Sky.

After their long hibernation (their planet’s orbit is very eccentric) some awaken to a damaged limb two, or other health issues.

I bet they didn’t figure out how they were going to get their prey out of the water, either. (Among other problems.)

We missed out on a basic principle of cartoon physics. After falling into a frozen lake, whatever fell in should come floating to the surface in a perfect ice cube.

I heard that the Chinese “weather balloon” is under 47 feet of water. That’s so shallow, we could ask for volunteers from the NBA to recover it.

He was invited for dinner but he got cold feet.
