The “takeoff” nab was sudden and surprising, the “landing” drop and face plant was hard and abrupt. And though it seemed/looked like at one point in the flight, her luggage was lost, it showed up with her at the destination — so … success!
I’ve considered a trip to NYC. The plane trip cost over $100 and takes 7 hours with all the stops and starts. The bus cost around $45 and takes about 9 hours. So, over $55 more to save 2 hours? I don’t think so.
Those of you who have traveled to countries outside the United States will notice a difference in airline terminals. Japan and Europe (the two with which I have experience) have much nicer terminals overall – I am talking from boarding gate to curbside and everything in between.
I am not just talking about international terminals. The difference is even greater with domestic terminals. All the major airlines have the “trash terminals” for their regional travel.
Charlotte, NC. has one with 200 seats for 9 gates. Also if you are picking someone up at Charlotte, you have restrooms, some seats and a Starbucks that is sometimes open at the baggage claim. Inside the airport, there are nice facilities and moving sidewalks which, when working, can get you from one terminal to the other in 20 minutes.
I’m picking on Charlotte because in order to go anywhere else, I have to land there first. It’s not the only airport with “seedy” parts. I’ve seen better bus terminals and leg room on busses is a lot more ample.

Given that the bus is probably a lot of Thor’s wheels tied together, Jane’s no doubt correct.

Could be worse, she could have booked on Spirit or Frontier

Lots of fresh air except when the flier dumps digestive waste.

In the old days, when you wanted to see strange people, you traveled by bus, now, you see worse at the airport.

Not gonna lie, that ride would kind of be scary and fun at the same time.

At least the pterodactyl didn’t get a hernia picking Jane up.

No, I don’t buy it.
There’s no way a 120 lb. pteranodon can transport a 150 lb. human, unless you include the African pteranodon, which, of course, is non-migratory…

airlines and bus companies seem to have the same problems . . . nobody really wants to travel via either one.
